absolutely stunning hotel very clean the staff r so friendly and the best food ive ever seen only thing that let it down a bit was the entertainment at night but we would awl go back id say defo the best hotel thereMore
We stayed from 29th Dec to 9th Jan in room 417 on an all inclusive basis. We found the cleanliness of the room was not as good as all other hotels we have stayed in[which quite surprised us as generally the reviews mention the high level of cleanliness]Our bed which was rather small and firm so we had a very bad first night. We asked for a softer mattress the following morning and the maid brought a mattress topper which was too small for the bed,so she put another one on which made it overhang on the sides of the bed.The bed was more comfortable but never looked well made[just untidy]Waiter service could be very slow and at one point our order had not arrived after 15 minutes so my husband went to the bar to get his own drink.Only had one pool for the whole hotel which we could never get a sunbed near as they were all taken by 9am.Sunbeds were comfortable with thick mattresses.Entertainment a little disappointing, overall they cater for the germans mainly. The saving grace for this hotel was the food, never got bored with it.Lovely joints of meat and steak cooked how you like it.They could do with topping things up and cleaning the area more regulary though. No dressing gowns or slippers in rooms and were charged 2 euros per day for the safe. All in all disappointed considering the price we paid.More
Preparing to check-out and thought I'd drop a quick line before I forget. Truly excellent hotel. Stayed a week with my family, including three teenaged girls and my 86yr old mum. Caters for the more middle-aged Client, which suited us just fine. Staff are efficient, friendly, hard working and seem genuinely happy. Too many lovely people to mention individually. They're a credit to whoever is managing them. It's rare that one sees such affection between staff and customers- hugs, kisses and handshakes were a regular occurrence on final day goodbyes. Food is great. Hotel and grounds are spotless. Agree with previous comments regarding the evening entertainment, but was no big deal. If you're a non-smoker you may have an issue, but people were courteous and considerate. Thoroughly enjoyed the break and would come back. More
I would give more than 5/5 if I could
Wow! The hotel is in a FANTASTIC location, and if you want to go the beach there is a shortcut through the outside restaurant. From the moment we arrived, until we left we felt completely looked after. The staff are simpy wonderful. They are all so polite, helpful and friendly. We liked everyone from lovely Fatima in the restaurant/bar, Marco in the salon bar who always seemed to remember what we drank, and lovely Neireda at the poolside bar. The rooms are nice and modernised, beds comfortable and the room was cleaned spotlessly. The poolside again is spotlessly clean and the sun beds have wonderful, comfortable, thick mattresses on them...luxury! The gentlemen in white around the pool work very hard all day, they very kindly will get you a mattress for your sunbed and also an umbrella if you need one. The pool water itself is warmish, I didn't have any problems with getting in or out of the pool...It usually takes me 5 minutes to get in because most pools I have been to are cold to freezing. Now my mother and I went all inclusive here and it was the best thing we did! I am not a fussy eater and usually if I go somewhere half board or all inclusive I get fed up with the selections at dinner and end up going out to eat. At no point did I do this here. The food was fantastic, for me the best I have been to so far in Spain or the Canary Islands. It was a lovely el fresco outside dining experience and it was RELAXING to sit and eat in the restaurant. Breakfast was my favourite. Great selection of fruit juice, cheeses, meats, fruit and a hot and cold buffet. Proper sausages, good quality bacon and you can get your eggs to order. Lunch had a lovely array of food everyday, but dinner I felt spoilt for choice. Salads, hot buffet, freshly carved to order beef, pork, chicken, and sometimes duck and lamb too. Dessert table always had fresh cake, fruit, choc mousse, ice cream and more. Yes there is smoking allowed in the restaurant, it didn't cause me any problems though as I always managed to obtain a table that avoided it. I had read previous reviews that some guests felt the hotel was more in favour of the German clients. If that is the case then I certainly didn't see or feel it at all. I felt that I was treated just as good as anyone else on holiday in the hotel. There were lots of nationalities and I saw no favouritism. Will I go back? 100% I will! The team at Sandy Beach have been wonderful hosts and I would like to Thank all the staff for contributing to making my holiday as brilliant as it was. See you again sometime this year! More
Just arrived home after a weeks stay in this fabulous hotel. It is without a doubt the best hotel I have ever stayed in in playa del ingles. The rooms are spotless and kept that way way by a team if excellent room maids. In fact every where in the hotel is spotless, the staff all work very hard to cater to your every need. Check in was very quick and they also deliver your suitcases to your room for you. The pool area again is spotless and there are two men on duty all day to make sure you have mattresses and umbrellas to ensure your comfort. The food in this hotel is amazing I could not believe the choice available. This is the first time whilst on holiday with my daughter who is 35 that I have not had to eat out at night as she did not like hotel food so this was a big bonus for me. We were all inclusive and the drinks available were really good with branded drinks not the usual local products which can be a little hit or miss. The bar and restaurant staff are very hard working and always have a smile in their faces and nothing was to much trouble for them. The only thing that could be improved is the evening entertainment which is always a duo, but a lot of the guests do like to dance to them but as there a lot of tribute acts available in playa del ingles I just think it would be nice to have something like that maybe twice a week just to make a change from the duo's. I would strongly recommend this hotel and I will definitely be returning again sometime this year. Thank you to all the hotel staff for making our holiday so perfect. More
