This newly refurbished hotel has a huge pool and is just a few minutes’ walk from the beach and Playa del Ingles town centre.
This hotel has just had a complete do-over. Formerly called the Riu Waikiki, the refurbishment has given it a fresh new look and feel. It’s just a five-minute walk from the heart of Playa del Ingles and the beach is only ten minutes away on foot – even less if you take the free shuttle bus.
Rooms are spread out across 5 circular towers, arranged in a horseshoe shape around a large central swimming pool. All of them come with their own balcony or terrace.

The staff is outstanding, wonderful experience
The hotel towers are nice, no noise between rooms. The area is very nice. Food was very good with a great selection. The pools and outside area clean and well kept. The entertainment was aimed at all age groups. I will definitely go there again. All the staff was jovial and friendly. There was something to do for those that did choose to stay mostly at the hotel. It was an all inclusive trip and the variety in food selections was very good so there was actually no need to go elsewhere to dine.More
Rooms are relatively small and there is NO sitting area. TV screens are very small and you must be in bes to view it. Restaurant and Food acceptabel IF you staty as " All included" guest. Very clean room.More
G. L. A,
Good all inclusive
Stayed here with my husband 6-13th feb 2017. Pros: Rooms were lovely...we stayed in block E room 759. Beds and pillows were really comfy, bathroom lovely and modern with a decent powerful shower. Towels changed 6 times during the week and balcony is an ok size for 2 of us (4 chairs and a small table). The adults only sunbathing area with day beds and comfy sun loungers was really lovely and had the sun all day and the large jacuzzi in this area was awesome. Food and drink was as expected...as long as there is pizza pasta burgers and hot dogs I'm ok. My husband loved the salad options and donar kebab at the pool bar too. Lots of cocktails on offer including my favourite - lumumba. Cons: No proper sausages at breakfast, entertainment was on every night but wasn't up to much really. We played pool while the entertainment was on in the background most nights. Lots and lots and lots of Germans at this hotel. Worth the price we paid for this hotel and would stay again. Would prefer a more English hotel usually though as everything was done in about 5 languages, but if this doesn't bother you, it's worth booking.More
This was a good holiday as a late deal.. Rooms were refurbished to a high modern standard. One of the best hotel rooms I've ever stayed in for décor, mood lighting, fresh clean and modern. Flat screen TV. The only disappointment was no Tea/Coffee making in the room - but we knew this before we went and took a travel kettle which worked out fine. The toiletries are limited, minibars of soap, shower gel sachets, shampoo sachets, maximum of 2 of each, some days replenished to 2, other days left as 1 of each (no conditioner). Restaurant. The food was very samey for the buffet, but there was something for everyone, and it seemed on each day there was a single fresh cooked quality product, e.g freshly served spare ribs on one day, fresh quality pork and crackling another day, tender beef another day etc. I guess to enjoy this you need to vary what you eat rather than you going for the same, e.g. pizza and chips is available at every buffet, so just regulate and rotate and it'll be fine. The restaurant seating felt very school canteen style, except for the 'garden room' off the block C restaurant with it's monochrome style. We ate here every day as it was a more enjoyable eating area. The hotel could probably turn this area into a la carte formal restaurant area if they wanted to and it lends itself to it. The location of the hotel is 10 mins walk from the beach, and is amidst several other 8 storey hotels. we were in room 833, block C, which had a fab sea view, but you could equally be in a less desirable room (see my room tips). As already mentioned there are issues with towels reserving sun loungers early, but we never had a problem, and with some excellent beaches, it didn't matter really. The greater issue, is more the shadows that the apt tower blocks have blocking the sun and chasing the sun around the complex. That said, head for the beaches, they are golden and fab. If you are into running or walking, there are miles of wide promenade, from Maspalomas, through Playa D'Ingles, through to San Augustin. Additionally a wide promenade also at Meloneras, all within a reasonable running/walking distance from the hotel. A good holiday for a late deal, and at the price we paid, we'd happily return.More
Decent Cheap All Inclusive
If you're after a reasonably priced 3* all inclusive then this is a decent place for you. I have to commend the staff here. They are all very chearful and incredibly helpful. From the receptionists to the bar and restaurant staff, they're is always a smile and a willingness to help you. The rooms are nice and modern in design and perfectly adequate with a decent shower, balcony and very comfortable beds. The food is decent enough but gets a little repetative. It's well cooked and there is variety but the restaurant gets quite crowded so you have to pick your times carefully. As couple that just wanted a quiet week in the sun, this just was not the place for us. There's a lot going on and the eager staff are always trying to get you involved. If you want lots of activties and things for the kids to do then it will be ideal. We spent most days away at the beach and came back only for the evening meal. Even then we ate out on a couple of nights just for variety. More
