The location of the Punta del Rey is a big draw – it opens up views of the sea, and gives you easy access to the beach and the centre of town.
This sea-facing hotel is just over the road from Puerto Rico’s harbour, and a bridge and a staircase connect the property to the resort’s golden beach. The centre of town is a 15-minute trot away, too.
The hotel’s designers have ventured down the simple and modern route. Bedrooms, for example, feature plain tiled floors, with accents coming from bright-red wall mirrors and patterned bedspreads.

Was here last year and loved it but it has gone completely downhill in such a short time. The staff treated us terrible and spoke to us like animals. On our last day they locked our cases in reception and refused to give them back until 4 (it closes for 3 hours every day!) despite our transfers arriving earlier than scheduled. The guy on reception swore at us for requesting our cases back and I'm delighted to say I returned the language as he forced an elderly couple into waiting in the heat for their own cases back. FYI its approximately 180 steps down top the beach area and the couple were expected to take their cases with them to get breakfast/lunch, or else leave them unattended for anyone to pick at. Everything we asked of them was met with rolled eyes and a bad attitude. Our only big ask was that they turn the electricity on in our room (I know we're sooooo demanding). Honestly don't bother with this hole. The view is amazing, but spend your money on another sea view hotel if that's what interests you about this place. Before you book here read the other bad reviews because take my word for it, we had every issue they did also. Kip. Lastly. If you're familiar with the area and are thinking of returning I wouldn't recommend it. Puerto Rico seems to have gone very downhill and a little expensive given one of its biggest pull factors has also been its cheap food and drink.More
Nice adults only hotel with gorgeous views from every room. We stayed in a superior room and it was lovely and well equipped. Maids came in every other day although we didn't get our sheets changed at all during the week we were there. Alex on reception was very helpful and always had a smile. The hotel is situated at the top of the hill and has quite a few steps down to the seafront which is ok going down but when you have had a drink and a meal I would recommend a taxi back which costs 3/4 euros. You can leave your luggage in reception on the day of departure but it closes 1 till 4 every day (which we were told about by the guy in reception) so don't leave them there if your pick up is between these times. Loved Puerto Rico and would definitely return to this hotel.More
VALUE FOR MONEY HOLIDAY INDEED!
This is not of a high standard but having said that every single member of staff from cleaners to reception and Entertainment to waiting staff work extremely hard to make your stay an enjoyable one. If you are looking for a reasonable standard hotel at a value for money price then this is the place for you. A special mention to all the entertainment team Alex, Aaran, Yeva, Rena & lia who were really amazing in there efforts to keep every guest happy. One last mention is for Loli who works in the Pool Bar area serving drinks. She is so friendly, genuine and attentive and really helped make our holiday enjoyable.More
Decent enough hotel modern and looks lovely. Absolutely stunning sea views no matter what room your in. Main problem was the cleaners came round every other day and the bed sheets weren't changed once during the week it was high 30s in temp most days and the bed sheets clearly needed changing. A couple of cockroaches also in the room but don't think this really could have been helped we were on the lowest floor so not sure if this was how they got in easily. Was disappointed with the whole of Puerto Rico to be honest not a lot to do there and all the restaurants pretty much the same everywhere you go.More
What a great place to stay, situated on a small hill above the harbour but with uninterrupted views along the coast and mountains and of the harbour itself. The rooms were clean and fresh the beds gave excellent sleep quality and the hotel was quiet at night so good for sleeping. All the staff We dealt with were friendly and helpful even though the reception was not 24 hrs.The pool was lovely so all in all a great stay oh and local to most of the restaurants and activities. Many thanks Jon and Donna 321More
