The location of the Punta del Rey is a big draw – it opens up views of the sea, and gives you easy access to the beach and the centre of town.
This sea-facing hotel is just over the road from Puerto Rico’s harbour, and a bridge and a staircase connect the property to the resort’s golden beach. The centre of town is a 15-minute trot away, too.
The hotel’s designers have ventured down the simple and modern route. Bedrooms, for example, feature plain tiled floors, with accents coming from bright-red wall mirrors and patterned bedspreads.

Good view and location
I stayed here for a week in June, We were in a studio room which was spacious and clean. The view from the room is amazing! The pool is a quiet, clean area, I would get up early to get a good bed tho. Pool bar food is lovely. There is a good few steps to walk down to get to the beach and the square is about 10mins walk away! Would recommend eating in pinochios, I still dream about that pizza and we drank in Bora Bora they are all so friendly. Would come back here More
Lovely place but noisy
We are just back from our stay which was fantastic. Lovely views, public areas are great, friendly staff, clean rooms(could do with updating). A lot of steps to the beach but nowhere near as much as the majority of hotels in Puerto Rico. My only complaint was the noise from renovation, very loud and started very early in the morning which was frustrating. Eventually complained and reception asked them to quieten down but it continued the next day More
PAID £305 TO BE TURNED AWAY ON ARRIVAL
Was turned away on arrival , 1 adult (f) and 15 year old child (f) Booked 4 months ago and paid the same day , was told it was an adult only hotel and eventually was found a room in the owners other apart hotel. Was not advertised as adult only , and also still on other sites has advertisements for cribs and cots. Can also be booked from sites if you click children tooMore

Good location, unless you have a mobility problems.
Pros: location, access to local buses, port, beach and amenities Cons: Worn towels, No A/C. Location: Easy access to lots of restaurants, bars, beaches. The apartments are a great location, unless you have walking difficulties as there are lots of steps from the beach and the main resorts. The rooms have dated tiles on the wall, but are clean and adequate, the towels are worn and need replacing. No free WiFi, Think this needed in public areas, then people would be encouraged to stay around the pool bar more often instead of eating/drinking in their apartments. pool bar.More
Great views, close to the beach
Clean and comfortable rooms, nice pool area. Yes there are a some steps down to the beach, but that is true of 90% of the hotels in Puerto Rico, and this has less than most, with the steps to the best end of the beach right outside the front door. Another plus point here is it is away from the noisy main shopping centre with its late night bars. At night I couldn't hear a thing even with the window open. Would totally recommend as somewhere to consider if you want to go self catering in the south of Gran CanariaMore
