12 lovely days all enclusive at the. Morrormar at the end of March
Lovely friendly staff at reception Katharine , Carlos and the rest of the team very helpful and couldn't do enough for you. Our room was very spacious and spotless and the cleaners very friendly and good at there job. The food was first class and a wide variety to choose. The staff in the dinning room was brilliant Carlos the head man greeted the guests as they entered Mohanet Carlos and the rest of the team done a great job. The bar staff very friendly and good at there job. The entertainment for kids was good but no live band or music for the adults to dance to.??? The Morrormar is beside the beach and close to all shops and 30 minute walk to Portdecarmel and the taxi rank is at back gate and bus stop close by.. Hope to return again soon and would like a room at the front with a nice sunny balcony we had a lot of steps to get to room 817. Thank you for very enjoyable holiday. Ireland M & JMore

Great holiday ð :)
Myself and my partner (both in our mid 20's) have just returned from a week long stay at the Morromar. The rooms were nicely renovated and the balcony was huge and a nice little sun trap! The entertainment team were great always happy, making people feel welcome and personally asking us to join in the games during the day. There is plenty on offer during the day time from archery, French boules, shooting, bingo and more! Maguiche, Sara, Sergio and Maria were full of energy all day they were loved by everyone. The pool are is lovely and relaxed. The male lifeguard is a true diamond! He walks around and says good morning to everyone, he makes sure everything is tidy and even gave a few of the children struggling to swim some lessons! The pool area doesn't open til around 9.30 which is great as it means you can lie in and not have to worry about a mad dash to get a sunbed. The only thing that really let this place down was the food. If you are the type of person who will eat absolutely anything then you'll be fine. If not it's a week of chips pasta and bread! (If you have already booked then there is a gorgeous restaurant just 5 minutes from the hotel called sirroco right on the sea front and all the food there is amazing! We visited 4 times!) The shops are only a five minute walk from the hotel in a shopping centre and then to the right of this is a long strip of shops all along the sea front. These are all small independant retailers if you are looking for the designer shops then these are a short taxi or bus ride away. There is a handy bus and taxi stop at the side of the hotel. I would happily visit again just on a self catering of b&b bases. The seafront is all flat and has a cycle path. I would recommend the bike hire great fun especially if you get a cloudy day. More
We have just returned from a week holiday. We booked this hotel only because of its price as it was on sale at the time. We have stayed in Matagorda many times before so knew the area very well. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised how nice the apartment was. I have emailed the hotel in advance and asking for a nice view but we got a sea view! A big thank you to Jessica - the location was perfect! The apartment was clean and modern with a good selection of channels with English programmes broadcasted. The towels are changed every second day and there is no cleaning Wednesday and Sunday. We stayed at the quiet pool most mornings and it was very nice but definitely not enough sun loungers and umbrellas. I am very looking forward to see this pool after it's refurbishment which is starting this month. The food was good. The variety was not excellent but we never complained and always found something and managed to put some weight on.. We heard a few people complaining but really don't know what they were expecting? It is not the variety of Riu but that cost us three times more! The breakfast was great with bacon, eggs, baked beans, sausages etc or pastries, hams cheeses, yoghurts, cereals. I am however disappointed that churros were not available morning. And even more that there were no toppings. I asked the waiter for chocolate sauce and all he showed me was hazelnut spread. I asked for the sauce that is usually out with the ice cream but he said no. In Riu we were spoiled with toppings all pretty much the same as the dessert ones. Another minus was that the all inclusive arm band was cut off at check out. Really? Although we were given a voucher for lunch i think it is unnecessary and definitely ruins your last day. We had a great holiday though that exceeded our expectations. We would definitely return and recommend it to friends and family.More
So we wanted an Easter week with the kids and my parents, in a budget as we have a busy year, we found the Morromor on the internet via on the beach holidays. We like the look and the price and my parents are quite shall we say Lanzerote savvy, and my dad said it will be a typical Lanzerote hotel, and in his book that's ok. We arrived and were greeted efficiently and politely and given apartments next door to one another. Rooms were spacious clean and modern, albeit the touch up decoration looked like a blind man on a galloping horse had passed by with the wrong shade of emulsion. All inclusive was good, friendly staff and good choice. And yes you will read reviews about local spirits et cetera but get a grip, the gin was fine the Amstel lager fine the pop and ice cream for kids was fine. The food was good, a broad selection everyday and with a 3 & 5 yr old they're not easy to cater for abroad. No cold food as some reviews state the only thing I found cold was the salad bar and continental breakfast bar! and when I say broad selection I mean so, there were English, German, French and Spanish guest to my knowledge. Only minor gripe was staffing levels, they need more table clearing staff. So the entertainment seems to get a rough review on here, we went to a family resort as a family at kids school holiday time, and we were not disappointed, a full animation schedule including archery, air rifle, pool, darts competitions and certificate presentations. The kids shows, we had birds of prey, reptiles, face painting, parrots and a clown. This was 2000 hrs for circa 30 mins, then the highlight of my 2's night the mini disco, 2030 hrs again 30 mins. Kids away tucked up in bed the the adult entertainment starts, but having 2 kids from 0730hrs everyday none stop until post mini disco we didn't bother. The hotel also have a character (foam suited staff member) called Tapi, who dances around with the kids at mini disco et cetera. Special mention to Alfonso in reception. A quietly spoken patient and well orated man, who dealt with my car hire and a glitch with that very well. Oh and a last note, I read reviews of, the animation staff's poor English, well I understand them, as did the French and German guests and believe me there linguistic skills in multiple languages is 100times better than my Spanish! Would we go again, yes. Is it good value yes. It's a no frills clean tidy well stocked catered and staff family resort in a sunny island. ðMore
