Lanzasur Splash Resort

As well as a pair of pools and a waterpark, this place has a top location – the beach is a couple of minutes’ walk away and a 5-minute taxi ride will land you in the centre of town.

The Lanzasur Splash Resort is in a great spot, just a 5-minute walk from Playa Flamingo Beach. But location isn’t the only draw – this place also has a waterpark within its grounds.

Bungalows here come in interconnected pairs – they're in neutral tones and have a minimalist feel to them.

Not recommendable

Check in only after 14:00. We arrived at 10:00, no drink, no food, open storage for luggage... Booked a 2-bedroom bungalow (paid extra) upon check in unavailable. No service at all. We were to quote them "the 6th problem of the day" Sleeping on a sofa for children for 3 days. Upon request they placed an extra bed full of fungus and no sheets or blankets, only a matras. Noisy bungalows, lot's of musquitos. Food horrible and dirt everywhere. Pool beds reserved whole day. Not a warm and welcome feeling. Never again, I won't recommend it. We were lucky to move to another accomodation which was very good!More

Kids had fun but did put us of booking all-inclusive again

This was our first all-inclusive holiday and we definitely had reservations and many concerns were confirmed However the children had an absolutely fantastic time! The resort itself was set a little inland and with very little around it but the grounds had a nice feel and the bungalows were as expected for the prise. POOL: The hotel pool was rather cold but as the weather warmed up it helped. There was a very small playground by the pool/bar area but also a large’ish open area behind which the children used too. The snack bar was ok and places so that it overlooked all areas of pool and play area which was very handy. The Pool next to the hotel was free to use and very nice with wave poor and slides but also rather cold though I imagine would be great in the summer. STAFF: the staff was absolutely great and we were very impressed with their ability to stay friendly and professional despite some of the rather challenging guests. INTERNET: was pretty much non-existent, there was nothing in the house at all and only occasional access in reception area which was a big issue as I had to work (and had specifically chosen a hotel with wifi in rooms for that reason) both hotel staff and travel agents did do their very best to help though really they should not advertise rooms with wifi and make clear that even communal areas are slow speed at best. FOOD & DRINK: The quality and variety was good and certainly above expectations but our personal preference would be for there to be more Spanish food (as we were in Spain ;-) however we appreciate that the hotel needs to cater for the audience. ENTERTAINMENT: Overall above expectation (though in all honesty those were pretty low) The youngest (2y) absolutely loved everything and especially the disco and the oldest (7y) quite enjoyed a couple of the animal and magician shows. As adults we mainly enjoyed seeing the children having fun and of course the free drinks ;-) RATING: I feel a little un-fair in my rating as the hotel honestly could not have done more or been friendly but the overall experience was for us very much tinted but the clientele which of course is not in any way the hotel’s fault. Would we go back… well if the deal was good enough (this time we had 1 child free which definitely helped with the decision) we might as we now know what to expect but we would definitely get a car for the duration and spend less time in the hotel. TIPS: - If you want to go on any organised tours I would highly recommend “Dinner at the volcano” - Ask for fish food at reception it’s great fun to feed the fish in the reception area. - Get a car for duration there is lots to see on the island and gives you a good break from hotel.More

A little gem!

We stayed here based on some of the reviews we read on here. We have been to puerto del Carmen many times but this would be our first visit to playa Blanca. Soooo where to start? Location: the hotel is a couple of minutes downhill walk to an expansive prom, where you can walk happily for miles in both directions! Lovely walk along the sea the whole way. Beach: playa flamingo is really close, only a couple of minutes, walk from the hotel. The beach itself isn't huge, its fine but don't be expecting a never ending trail of golden sands, I might be man-made (not sure tho). But overall lovely location and wonderful for a swim. Very quiet this time of year. Bungalow: the hotel bungalows were FABULOUS! I had read here that some previous guests had mentioned they thought there were some cleanliness issues, we totally disagree, our bungalow was spotless! They are soooo spacious, bigger than some one bed apartments we have stayed in in the past! Modern and comfortable decor. Lots of equipment including: ac, kettle, sandwich toaster, safe, fridge, microwave, teapot etc. Really well equipped. The outside terrace was fantastic, large with table and chairs. As we had a corner bungalow we had sunlight all day. Our apartment was quiet and relaxing and we heard nothing from the family with young children who were staying right next door. Wonderful! Hotel: this was our first all inclusive (we generally like to get out and about in the evenings), and we couldn't fault this experience. Breakfast was great with every conceivable combination of cooked or continental breakfast. We only had lunch once, yummy salads. Dinner was good, typically lots of lovely salads and breads, with a range of different themed meat dishes each night eg Asian, Italian, Spanish etc. As well as lots of meat for the carnivore out there. My partner who loves his meat, was a little disappointed at the quality, but we were mindful that it was being cooked for two sittings in a very full hotel. Overall it was delightful! In addition there were hot and cold snacks eg burgers etc available throughout the day. Drinks: wine and beer available on a pour your own basis all day. Any spirit and mixer available. Coffee, tea and soft drinks available throughout the day! Again, we couldn't fault this,at all. Wonderful! Entertainment: We are an active couple who have just turned 70, we thought the option of entertainment was great, particularly for people watching and for a buzz around the hotel. The entertainment was fine, probably more geared to families with children, but again very enjoyable. Pool: the pools look great, we prefer the beach so didn't try it out, but in case you were wondering, you don't need to bring your own towels, they are available from hotel if you wish. Overall, we would recommend this hotel without hesitation, and we intend to return!More

Better than expected

Came here late November 2015 for a week due to our holiday to egypt being cancelled and to be honest we were more than happy with what we got we were a family of 6 me wife father in law and 3 grankids 4yrs 7yrs 13yrs thay loved it the pools they were never out of them , the waterpark was fantastic we all had a great time food was good and plentyfuldrinks were good entertainment more for kids but thay enjoyed it up all the time dancing so no complaints from me happy kids make a happy holiday staff were top notch and always willing to help would go back as we all enjoyed it so much , my only gripe is having to pay for safe and air con spoils it a little as every where else we have gone never had to pay extra for this and aircon only in bedroom so in high season lounge sleeping area would get hot plus if you pay in advance for air con you still have to pay deposit on remote to use it ? Sort this out then would be great but still a loverly placeMore

Mark B,

Stayed here during December, me, hubby and 2 Kids aged 9 and 12. We all had a fantastic time, the apartment and surrounding areas were spotless, the food excellent, the reception staff and bar staff/service great. The animation team were so full of energy and involved everyone regardless of age. Their show night was amazing, (the dancing the best I have ever seen of any hotel animation team). We found all the hotel staff here wanted to make sure everyone had a great holiday and were very friendly. Would highly recommend for families.More
