Never Even Got Past Reception
After travelling round Puerto dropping people off at their lovely hotels we arrived at Izaro Club Hotel to be told there was a booking issue and we had been given another hotel, an 'upgrade' from self catering to bed and breakfast....... under the incoming flight path in Matagorda, Hotel Beatriz! Seems these 2 have some deal going as I've seen a few reviews like this on the site. I was mortified, we had arrived on the island for the first time hoping to be in the centre of the town and was stuck literally in the middle of nowhere.More
Ignore the bad reviews!
I am very particular about the hotels I stay in and was a little cautious of this place due to a few bad reviews but this is my third day here and can honestly say it's brilliant here! The hotel is extremely clean and the staff are very friendly (which are two of my top things I like in a hotel)! The breakfast and dinner choices fit every bodies taste. A couple bad reviews moan about the hills but it IS a volcanic island so what can you expect? But on the plus side everything is a 5 minute walk from this hotel which is definitely perfect and if you're unfit like me then a taxi can bring you back for like 2-3 euros! Throughout the day staff organise games and fun things to do around the pool which entertain adults and kids. Not to mention they have happy hour which you can't go wrong with! I would 100% come back here and my partner feels the same, ignore the bad reviews because this place won't let you down. More
Fab family holiday
Hotel spotlessly clean and apartments/pool/ bar and restaurants exceptionally well maintained. Disappointed to not receive any drinks when checking in however pleased to find our requests for adjacent apartments overlooking the pool were met - apartments 602 & 603 perfect if travelling with children.....Entertainment staff Lorena and Ezequiel are simply amazing and such a credit to the hotel - they do not stop working day & night and the children and adults in our families were kept entertained. Breakfast offered a great choice and evening meals ( buffet style ) offered great choice too most evenings.Location in the Old Town was okay - close to shops and the harbour with it's restaurants. Would recommend taking taxi down to quieter part of P.del Carmen and visiting Matagorda area for restaurants and shops - much less commercialised. Overall very pleased with hotel and would definitely return.More
Fabulous from start to finish
- Amazing place - 10 mins in a taxi from airport - great value for money - checked us in early with no problems at all - clean, roomy apartment with table & chairs outside - Clean complex - great breakfast selection - cold meats & cheese, cereal, hot cooked breakfast, fresh pancakes & omelettes - Great food at the poolside bar - big pool & can use inflatables - fun & games with the animation staff at the pool - my boy loved it - play pool, table football, darts, ping pong! - 10 mins walk from strip (uphill on way back) - taxis are cheap from the strip (about 4 euro) - reception will happily call taxis and they arrive very quickly - courtesy room available if you need late checkout - great friendly staff, nothing too much hassle - bus stops nearby Overall this place completely exceeded our expectations which can only be a good thing. Would definitely recommend to anyone who asked. Thank you for looking after us so well! More
From our welcome to the adios everything was perfect....Nearly! possibly the cleanest hotel we have stayed in with all the staff working to help make your stay memorable, which works. Excellent buffet breakfasts that has everything on offer where no one could complain about 'Nothing to eat'. Plenty of daily activities to keep this who want to participate entertained and a kids club and disco, where the animation team wear the kids out and this gets them off to sleep the whole night. Decent acts perform after 21:30, when the kids disco finishes too. As said earlier....Nearly! When we arrived you could get a sun lounger, which are the best ever with the padded mattress, at 08:30 then it got earlier and earlier where after week some beds were being reserved at 02:00, probably the same all over the Canaries and European resorts but I got mine and used it all day! Well done to all the staff, ensuring everyone has a pleasant stay, I would highly recommend a stay here, if you can get a reservation as it is so busy. Enjoy!!More
