Not a 4*
We stayed here for a week (so glad it was no longer) and in fairness to the hotel it really cannot be classed as a 4 star hotel, maybe 20 years ago but really more like a 3 star. The rooms were old and need a refurb, the beds have to the worst I have slept in ever, all the guests we spoke to agreed with us. The reception staff were very friendly and helped all they could with our requirements as for the staff everywhere else we could count on one hand the amount of staff that said hello or even smiled at you. Habier (i think that is how you spell it sorry) in the restaurant was the only waiter that made any conversation or smiled at us, the restaurant manager was very nice (maybe the waiters should try his approach) to guests. Evelyn in the pool bar and bar upstairs was also very nice and the other young girl that worked with her with blonde hair was also nice always smiling. The food was Luke warm and not that much to choose from unless you like fish, the all inclusive was a complete joke, you had to go all the way down to the pool bar for any drink including a coffee up till 5pm. It really isn't thought out very good as to what is included and where because not all drinks were included everywhere at all times. We met a lot of nice friendly guests but also a lot that were not so friendly. All in all we wouldn't return and I wouldn't advise anybody to book this hotel.More
A well managed hotel
I can speak highly of the VIK Hotel San Antonio - the food, clean, good location, high staff to customer ratio, excellent staff service. A disappointment was that the bathroom extraction fan was not working. I understand that the hotel fan system is centrally controlled. Without a working extraction fan the result is odour, which not only fills the bathroom, but drifts into the bedroom too. In future I will ensure that a hotel has a working extraction fan system before booking.More
Slightly overrated hotel
Came home yesterday from Lanzarote , been twice before , love the place . Stayed in San Antonio hotel as its in a great spot in Puerto del carmen . Very overrated in my opinion . Room was that basic we had no tea or coffee facilities . It's needs a lot of renovation to bring it up to date , and the clientele are so cliquey with each other . Some visitors obviously think it's their second home . Newcomers like myself were slightly inferior in my opinion. On the up side food was delicious , lots of choice . Reception staff need to smile more and treat their guests like they actually care . Bar staff and restraunt staff work very very hard , yet they were very polite and friendly . I feel this hotel is very overrated and they need to get into this century starting with Wi Fi in all rooms , as it was awful , only working in reception areas . Would go there again pending on a total refurbishment , and happier faces throughout ,from guests to staff .More

We visited Vik San for a quick break after Christmas celebrations and found the hotel to be very good, staff were good and we were extremely pleased with the food. Evening entertainment was also good. The place is defiantly a step up from Gods other waiting room (Benidorm) We would go back for another quick break but not for longer as we like to tour around and see many places rather than sit about it n the sun.More
