Just a short walk from the beach, El Duque teams stylish interiors with 2 big pools.
This place has plenty of style, from its smart marble lobby to its contemporary bedrooms. It also has 2 pools – one of them heated. Theme nights at the buffet restaurant keep the menu fresh.
The hotel is less than 10 minutes’ walk to the manmade, sandy beaches of Playa del Duque, and there’s a little shopping complex right next-door.

Aparthotel El Duque was OK(+) for us. Our apartment was more worn down than expected, but it works for sleeping and breakfast. The rest of the time was spent elsewhere. We were a family of four(kids 2 and 4), and the sleeping couch is NOT suitable for a grown up. It's to short and has a very pour madrass. Not even the 4-year old liked it. The pool area is nice, but the kids- and the big pool were not heated. I'm disappointed that the kids pool not were heated. Our kids could not play very much in the heated pool. The staff could be a little harsh. We only used the restaurant for a mexican dinner. Then the food was very good. I don't think I would have stayed here for an "all-inclusive". The entertainment on the nights is not especially good, and it's make a lot of noice for the apartments around the big pool. Fortunately our kids didn't bother, they felt a sleep, but it was not nice to sit outside and listen to it.More

My second year on holiday in Tenerife, I wanted to keep this year's budget because what I especially wanted to do were tours but also do not want to lose a nice stay and good food. Aparthotel El Duque offered exactly what I was looking for, I had a very large apartment / room for one person. View of a large swimming pool and the food was definitely tasty. I chose half board because I was mostly every day on walking tour or somewhere on a excursion. Very friendly staff and nothing was too much. After my daily evening walk I enjoyed the very tasty cocktails with some live music by the pool.More

A holiday without a hitch. Lovely spacious room on the ground floor with a decent size terrace which caught the the sun great in the afternoon. The room was cleaned and we had clean towels every day. The food had a great selection to cater for all tastes. Lots of pork dishes as others have mentioned, but we also had chicken, beef and turkey on various days. From English food (full English breakfast to steak and chips) to pasta and paella. There was always something interesting. Reception was always helpful and chirpy. Our rep seemed to have little to do but was helpful and informative. Some have complained about the trip to the beach. Yes, it is steep if you turn right. Go left and there is a more meandering route to the promenade. There is the Adeje market just across the road on Thursday's and Saturday's which is worth a stroll around. There is also a supermarket downstairs in the small shopping next to the hotel which is great if you want to get some drink and snacks for your room! The bus stops are here too and some are FREE! For kids there is the pool which is "heated" but actually quite cold though many did brave it (not me though!). There is a small park just outside the top end of the hotel complex and a big children's climbing play area at the top of the shopping complex. The beaches are terrific with Del Duque beach (best beach in Tenerife) just down the street. Walk to the right for 45minutes and reach a lovely quiet fishing village. Go left and you soon are in the heart of Las Americas. We did the Mt Teide and Medieval Night excursions which are an absolute must. As a base, El Duque was brilliant for us.More
We booked this Aparthotel because it supposedly had a heated pool! Forget it, 'Freezing'! I'm so angry about it. I love to swim several times a day while on holiday. We arrived by private taxi about 7 pm; Pressed the buzzer to enter the gates, no answer, left it a reasonable amount of time and buzzed again, no answer. Then our taxi driver got out, puzzled, and buzzed, to which a woman shouted through the intercom, ' alright , I'm not speedy Gonzales' ! NICE WELCOME! The man on reception then tried to make out we were at fault, but I put him right and told him exactly how it was not nice to be 'welcomed' by a shouty, angry woman. And when I said our driver had buzzed, also, he said the driver must have had long arms then! Sarcasm when not appropriate does not extend a warm welcome. Others have complained about these reception staff...TUI, First Choice, sort it out! Their Disgusting behaviour when we asked about the pool temperature should be addressed also. But then TUI only have a young girl as a rep, who is fed a load of B S about pool temps, being illegal to heat it, and believes it, or can't be bothered to argue with them, she's easily bullied I'm afraid, and they know it. Do not book this for a lovely break! Food was ok at best but lots pork and bony fish. Bar staff work hard but only one bar open. Apartment was clean and roomy but small balcony. Entertainment was kids songs/dances.. Same 4 every night, over after 20 mins, right by the pool, dangerous! Anything else, singer, group, magician, did 35/40 minutes and then left. So by 10 o clock it was all over. If you want to go into town looking for some nightlife, be prepared for Cardiac Hill. Very steep and the decline to the beach also. Would not return . More
Happy new year.
Aparthotel El Duque has the potential to go from average to very good if only the management paid more attention to clients reviews. They have a very nice complex, friendly staff, spacious rooms. The main thing that brings this place way down is the restaurant.Lukewarm, bland tasting inferior quality food served on cold plates isn't good enough.Having to sit outdoors on a cold windy night with very poor entertainment on new years eve isn't good enough.A few small changes could make a big difference.More
