I have just returned from a few days away at this hotel with my partner. The communal areas of the hotel are stunning and the views from the various bars are beautiful. However, the room we had was four flights of stairs down with the balcony overlooking a local restaurant. The room was tired and our queen bed was two singles pushed together both neatly tucked in with blankets. The shower head was less than clean, despite this the accommodation was adequate, our main dissatisfaction came from breakfast which was lukewarm at best, more often it was cold. The island design of toast, marmalade, fruit was disjointed which required a lot of walking around resulting in people wandering around and bumping into eachother. That said the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. More
We loved this hotel. One thing that made it outstanding was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Everyone had a smile and a hello for us, even the painters who were busy whitewashing while we were there. Very clean. We enjoyed the sense that although it is a large hotel it never felt crowded to us; we always found areas to sit and be away from people if we wanted. We are not mad on sunbathing so the loungers did not attract us, but there were always some to be had through the day. The gardens were lovely. We had half board and were more than happy with the breakfast. We had no trouble finding a table whenever we went; the food was plentiful and varied. We only ate once in the evening which was very good, but quite expensive. However there are plenty of very good places to eat just a short walk in either direction and we ate in a different place every night. Yes I agree with other reviewers that the drinks are expensive. We enjoyed the pianists in the early evenings and the evening entertainment which finished at 10.30. Our room overlooked the pool area and sea and I would recommend this; it was perfect. Bathroom was fine and everything was spotless and worked well. I was surprised that we were not given a bathrobe and slippers when the hotel info says they are provided. However, it was not a big issue for me but I queried it with reception before leaving and was told that if I had asked they would have provided them; the point is I would not expect to have to ask. Next time I will know. We will return; we met many people who had been back again and again and we understand why. Be aware that there are lots of steps and they do not all have handrails but there are also very good lifts; we saw several wheelchair users so it is all manageable. Wi-Fi worked well for me. This was a beautiful and relaxing place and I think the location is great. Loads of good swimming beaches. Overall a beautiful hotel which we really enjoyed staying in and will return to.More
An enjoyable relaxing break...
Recently spent a week on a half board basis at this hotel and in the main was very pleased with it. Room allocation anywhere ( unless you pay a sea view premium ) can be a bit like Russian roulette and on this occasion we âtook a bulletâ and were allocated a room with a view of the car park and glass recycling bins, not quite what we had hoped for but in fairness the room was very clean, tidy and comfortable. wi-fi was adequate. All staff were very courteous, friendly and efficient. We loved the layout of the hotel. Lots of quiet spots with sunbeds and in particular we enjoyed the beach club area which was invariably quieter than the main pool and a great place to relax â just remember to obtain towels from the main pool area before hitting the beach club. The pool at the beach club is not heated but fabulously refreshing after relaxing on the sunbeds. The food in the main restaurant is of a good standard, varied, plentiful and caters for all tastes. The hotel bar prices should undoubtedly be more competetive. They weren't too extortionate but a 2 minute walk in any direction from the hotel would find you benefiting from ridiculously competitive bar prices. An enjoyable stay in a lovely hotel...More
LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION
A classy hotel full of character in a wonderful location overlooking the sea especially from its "beach club" It is also an easy walk into San Eugenio with all its restaurants and bars. Rooms have mainly been upgraded but aren't really that special although well equipped . Breakfasts are superb with chefs on hand to cook eggs crepes and a variety of other foods. Staff are generally very friendly too. The various hotel restaurants are of good quality with lots of long serving staff. Sold last year the new owners seem to be cutting back on little things like bathrobes and in house toiletries and the place is looking a little bit tired round the edges thus maybe explaining its downgrading generally to 4 star status. Overall it is a great place which is why we return every year. Yes there are lots of steps but it is built on the side of a hill after all and there are plenty of lifts. One thing the hotel desperately needs to do is upgrade the wifi . Overall not many better in AdejeMore

Just back from a week in this wonderful hotel. We stayed in a standard room which had recently been updated and did not disappoint. The hotel swimming pools are so well laid out and the design was just perfect. We just loved all the bars as they are so charming but thought the sunset bar was an amazing place to go and watch the wonderful sunsets and enjoy a cocktail. The price of the drinks are our one and only criticism and I feel that if the hotel lowered the prices more people would be encouraged to spend the evening there. The staff were very helpful and nothing was a problem to them. We will definitely be back.More
