This adults-only hotel gives you a triple helping of pools, and it’s just a short walk to the beach.
This huge building is shaped like a cruise liner. On one side you’ve got the Adeje mountains and, on the other, views of the Atlantic Ocean. Within the hotel, there's a trio of pools and a buffet restaurant.
The hotel’s in an upmarket part of Costa Adeje, just a five-minute drive from the centre. And it’s a five-minute cab ride in the other direction to La Caleta, a fishing village home to bars and restaurants.

Just the ticket
Our week's stay was everything I'd hoped. A peaceful and at night a romantic setting. Friendly staff who were obviously very well trained, except for the Thomson rep. So much choice at breakfast and dinner. Beautifully clean everywhere. We preferred the resident band to the guest acts. The girl singer was relaxed and unforced and we enjoyed several shuffles around the dance floor. Drinks prices were reasonable with huge measures. Nice walks to Del Duque and Fanabe one way and La Caleta the other worth doing. Got the bus to Los Cristianos and we were very glad we were not staying there. For us the location of the hotel was perfect. Downside - fencing and beach works in front of the beach club at present, no kettle to make coffee so take your own if like us you can't wait til breakfast, we would have preferred a double bed rather than the huge twin beds pushed together, no light on balcony, bedside lamps too dim to read by at night for our ancient eyes, hotel policy is not to allow sun loungers by the pool to be saved with towels but irritatingly it wasn't enforced and the best were hogged sometimes for a whole morning without being used. Spanish restaurant was disappointing- system wasn't explained properly which made us feel uncomfortable and whilst the tapas and my main were good, my husband's main was not as described and the puddings poor. Not the hotel's fault but we were dismayed by the number of smokers spoiling our enjoyment of outdoor areas and even at breakfast. These are small gripes as overall we loved the hotel and will certainly return.More

EXCELLENT RETURN HOLIDAY
Our return visit was as enjoyable as our first stay last November, with all Riu Staff making us feel welcomed and valued as guests. This time our very comfortable room was on a higher floor with wonderful, peaceful views out to sea. All our varied meals were attractively presented and so much choice to suit all tastes - superb. The spacious grounds are very well maintained and the level of cleanliness in all areas is exemplary. We will be returning to this tranquil area of Costa Adeje - thank you for another wonderful week.More

Another great holiday
Just had another great week at the riu arecas weather was lovley . There seems to be some staff changes however this did not change the great service we have always had when visiting the arecas. Smoked salmon on offer every morning at breakfast and cava to compliment it on a Sunday. Yes there is a lot of stairs down to the promenade but if you go out the front entrance of the hotel and turn left then left down the side of the hotel there is a foot path to the promenade or turn right then at the el mirador there is a foot path straight on to the promenade. The steep stairs are at the back for a quicker way to the promenade. Cleanliness is top class. If you are looking for a lovely relaxing holiday with great service and great food this is the hotel for youââMore
