This adults-only hotel gives you a triple helping of pools, and it’s just a short walk to the beach.
This huge building is shaped like a cruise liner. On one side you’ve got the Adeje mountains and, on the other, views of the Atlantic Ocean. Within the hotel, there's a trio of pools and a buffet restaurant.
The hotel’s in an upmarket part of Costa Adeje, just a five-minute drive from the centre. And it’s a five-minute cab ride in the other direction to La Caleta, a fishing village home to bars and restaurants.

Excellent hotel, will definitely return
We visited the hotel on the 19th July for a week with our friends who recommended this hotel to us and we celebrated my husband's 65th birthday, our 41st wedding anniversary and our friends husband's birthday as well during that time. On arrival we immediately could see why they wanted to return as the hotel was very clean, we had a nice sized bedroom and a large bathroom with a lovely shower. Our view was a little disappointing as we were on the ground floor and would have preferred a nice room with a better view rather than overlooking the road. The restaurant food choices were excellent and we were very impressed with the buffet and the quick response from the staff ensuring our plates were cleared immediately. All staff were very polite and helpful and our main waitress Barbara was lovely and very efficient. We also visited the Spanish restaurant which we booked through reception and we had a lovely meal on our anniversary and would like to thank the General Manager for looking after us so well. We very much appreciated seeing the General Manager walking around the hotel and talking to a lot of the guests which we have rarely seen during our travels. We very much enjoyed the location of the hotel, even though there are numerous steps down to the infinity pool. A big thank you to the bar staff at the infinity pool for looking after us so well and we look forward to seeing them next year. We had pleasant evening walks close by to the hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed that the hotel accommodated adults only. We did feel that the safe in the room should not incur a charge of 2 Euros a day and also felt it was not necessary to put towels on sunloungers early and then not use them until about 3 hours later. There are an adequate number of sunloungers around the three pools not to have to do that. Overall a very relaxing and enjoyable stay, we would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and we very much look forward to spending two weeks at the hotel next year.More
Kind and friendly Manager
As I have had a knee replacement the Manager kindly got a key from the opposite Riu Hotel so I could use their lifts to where the Arecas Beach pool was. All the staff were great and this is a great Hotel to relax and chillMore
Just arrived home for a weeks stay here, couldn't fault anything definitely the best hotel me and my girlfriend have stayed in, wonderful food and staff can't do enough for you! We were a little hesitant to begin with as certain reviews state about it been for more of the older generation as we're both 25, was quiet but relaxing, would definitely stay here again! *****More
My partner and I have just returned from a fantastic one week stay at the Riu Arecas. We were initially placed in room 6, which is a lower ground room with no sunlight or view from the terrace area. Carmen and Daniel at reception were extremely helpful, polite and friendly and moved us to a room with a pool view. The rooms are of a fantastic standard and so is the food. I would love to return soon. Thank you to all the staff at Riu for a great stay.More
Would stay again!
Stayed here for a week with my boyfriend back in May. Stylish and modern hotel perfect for couples as it's adult only. Rooms were modern and clean and well air conditioned. Asked for a pool view and got just that which was lovely. The pools themselves were nice and relaxing with sunbeds built into the pools to keep yourself cool whilst sunbathing. Also has access included to the RIU beach club which has its own mini beach with an infinity pool looking out to the sea, located down a few steps at the sister resort Riu Palace. The actual beach is also just a very short walk away. Hotel restaurant buffet was alright, especially if you want something quick and easy, however that's all it is at dinner time, nothing special. However there are loads of restaurants nearby to try if you want more table service. Breakfast was very yummy though. Found that the other restaurant 'Ole' in the hotel included in the package was a lot better, which is a mixture of a yummy tapas buffet and table service main meal. Highly recommend trying it! We love waterparks and theme parks, so it was important that we stayed near Siam Park (the no.1 waterpark in the world!) so we didn't face expensive taxi journeys. Only cost 10 Euros in a taxi to get there which was marvellous, but also found that it only took about 45 minutes to walk to! (we were wondering along the promenade and decided to go to Siam Park again instead and noticed it was only up the hill! Nice steady walk!) Overall Great hotel and perfectly located for what we wanted to do!More
