Not changed a great deal
Arrived at the Hovima and was given our room on the opposite side to where we have been before we thought this was not going to be good as we have always had a pool view, but we were pleasantly surprised and we had a better sea view than the other side of the hotel and sunshine all morning which was lovely to wake up to. The food we thought was not quite up to what we have had before but the alacarte restaurant which you can visit twice during a weeks stay was excellent. The room was kept spotlessly clean as was the rest of the hotel. The entertainment staff were brilliant, and kept you informed as to what was going on but didn't worry you if you said you didn't want to take part. The evening shows were really good too. All the staff with the exception of the reception were very friendly and happy, unfortunately the females on the reception have forgotten how to smile, the males were completely different. The only gripe we had was that the television in our room had a green stripe running through the picture and the sound was muffled and we could not hear it properly, we reported this first day of arrival and again twice more but nothing was done about it while we were there, shame as this lets our report down.More
Stayed 11 nights in Feb 2017 . The hotel is very clean and food choice in buffet restaurant excellent. The restaurant also has a lovely outlook to the sea and waiters work hard clearing the tables and serving wine to the table which was to a good standard. Always got seated comfortably and unlike many all inclusives it did not seem like a cattle market in the dining room! The Ocean Blue a la carte was disappointing as very limited choice.Pool bars are very good and the self serve food option a great idea at one of them. Was a little disappointed with the quality of the cocktails but beer was fine and spirits ok. Rooms were to a good standard perhaps a little lacking in storage space and a slight problem with drainage in the shower area which meant having to be careful not to flood the bathroom! Gym and spa area both lovely and well equipped Overall a good break and nice hotel that is great value for money.More

Changes to make it much better
Just had 10 days at this hotel. It was our 2nd time--1st was 2 years ago. The hotel & pool areas always immaculate. Food was of a great choice lunch & evening. Breakfast had a few things missing like mushrooms. The fruit & cakes were always a good variety. We were on the 2nd floor sea view room. It was a large room & opposite end to the lift Walk in shower but definitely needs either a door to go right along or different tray to stand as everything gets soaked & very slippy. We were always asking maids for extra floor towels. They would give us extra for 2 days then not bother. The tiles on the floor in corridors needs attention as all cracked. The entertainment would of been very enjoyable if we could see it. The way the lounge areas is situated you either have auful uncomfortable seats all crammed together or the lounge area was badly situated as ignorant people who only think of themselves would stand in front beside stage stopping everyone from watching. The entertainment team were very very stroppy when we asked if they could do something about it. Another thing was stupid stairs up to the bar area. We saw a lot of people fall & spill drinks. I would hope all this area gets attention. The drinks were quite good EXCEPT the cocktails which was half a glass of ice like a slush puppy. Disgusting for a all adults hotel. We met & talked to some lovely people who all said the same thing about the lounge area & would stop us going back to the same hotel. It's such a shame as it would be a very good hotel .More
Adult only and enjoyable
We have just returned from a week all inclusive at this Hotel. The food was good, lots of choice and if the hot food had been hot, I would have said it was excellent. We went to the Ocean Blue Restaurant, which you need to book but you get a meat dinner and a fish dinner each week you stay. There are only a couple of choices on the menu, but it is good to have the meal served instead of the usual buffet Restaurant. Again, the hot food was well presented but warm at best The Sun Beds were on 3 different levels and plenty of them so you did not have to get up at stupid o'clock to get 1, they were also very comfy. The biggest snag was that the Sun Beds were positioned in the shade of the Hotel and did not get any Sun until 10, and some at 12 noon. The outside, daytime Bars were good and served a wide variety of drinks. There was only 1 inside Bar which opened at 6pm and became very busy and noisy as it was so close to the Stage where the evening entertainment took place. Evening entertainment was OK, brought in and some was better than others! Bedrooms were small but clean and only 1 chair! We looked out onto the pool, but never got any Sun on our Balcony. I hated the glazed door to the bathroom and the Shower was like a skating rink with such a shallow tray that the water spilt over into the Bathroom whenever used! In spite of all this, we enjoyed our introduction to an Adult only Hotel, but doubt if we would go back.More
Good all round
Good food, room good, pools cold, entertainment good, always something going on, very social lounges, staff brill, wine and drink plentiful, 2⬠extra for premium drinks but local booze was good enough generous portions, food plentiful, could be hotter, but there are hot plates at the end of right side counter, also a microwave there, good variety of food at all sittings, would go again.More
