A trio of lake-like pools hog the limelight at this apartment complex. The beach is just a short walk away, too.
Life at the Barcelo Varadero revolves around its pools. There are 3 to choose from, all of them huge. There are 2 bars, too, and a buffet restaurant where you can try Canarian dishes as well as international fare.
The apartments are airy and bright, with glass patio doors leading out into the gardens. A 10-minute walk gets you to Playa de la Arena’s black-sand beach.

10 Day Holiday
Overall it was a great experience. The room was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The dining room became very busy at times with the self service arrangement but the food was good and the service was friendly and efficient. The idea of introduction of an al a carte restaurant needs to be developed further as it would prove very popular. Some small suggestions for improvement: introduce heating to all pools, improve the quality of lighting in the restaurant, have a separate quiet bar for non all inclusive customers. Again, thanks to all your hard working staff for making this a very enjoyable holiday.More
Half term holiday
We are currently staying here at Barcelo Allegro Isora and having a fabulous time. This is our third visit to a Barcelo hotel and we have not been disappointed with this one. We booked direct with the Barcelo website which allows frequent customers a tiered discount on their rewards programme and regular offers during the year so it's worth signing up - we found this break on their Black Friday offers back in November and booked it direct, it's the first time we've been away in February and we'll be definitely doing this again. The hotel itself is situated on a hill near Playa de Arena beach. The beach itself is relatively small and though there are a few shops nearby the area is a quieter part of Tenerife. The hotel itself is good quality with clean and spacious rooms. The food has a good selection of salad, meat and fish cooked fresh from the grill daily. Lunch on the hotel is good quality- the pool bar area during the day serves your regular pizza, chips, burgers n hotdogs but the hotel lunch buffet has much more classy food choices. The a la carte menu served in the pool bar area in the evening is worth a visit. Because of a small confusion in our transfers from the airport, we were given complimentary upgrade from half board to all inclusive which was especially welcome. Booking direct allowed us a courtesy bottle of prosecco. Toiletries we're provided in the room and refreshed daily- as well as bottled water. Another benefit of booking direct was a gift voucher credit of 44e to our account to use on the hotel services- which allowed me a complimentary massage in the spa. Jeanette- the Hotel receptionist was amazing and gave us plenty of local knowledge on how to get about the island-it's about a 45 minute walk to Los Gigantes from the hotel which is pleasant but a 5e taxi journey will take you there. Whale watching at Los Gigantes is a must- as well as a visit to the Bamboo patisserie. Delicious pastries!! This hotel has made our holiday really special so far and I would not hesitate to recommend it. More

Had a lovely relaxing holiday. The food was good. All Staff friendly and helpful. And the hotel was spotlessly clean. Couldn't fault it. We knew that it was on a hill and are fit to walk into town and to the beach but if you are unable there are regular buses.More
