Great holiday destination.
Travelled on the 17th July for 14 nights. This was our 5th time to the Gran Oasis. Food excellent as always. Rooms nice and clean and cleaned daily. Staff really friendly and Daniel on reception really looked after us as soon as we arrived. Entertainment team still doing a great job during the day and evening. If your reading this review and want a good holiday in Tenerife, then this is the hotel to go to. Keep the good work up Gran Oasis team. Hope to see you again in the next couple of years.More
We have just returned from a great 2 weeks here. We were 3 families (6 adults 6 children) and for the cost of the holiday it was worth the money. Good points out weigh the bad .... So the positives are Food - lots of variety and enjoyed the food (diet begins now 😲) our children were fussy eaters but always found something they enjoyed. Drinks - cocktails weren't the best I've had but still OK. Beer was lovely and wines were OK too. Slushy drinks were available for the children which they loved. Entertainment- brilliant shows in the evening and the staff were fantastic day and night. Staff - found everyone really helpful and always happy to see you. Rooms - these were on 2 floors with a kitchen and lounge / diner and 2 beds for the children with a balcony with a lovely Seaview (in the distance). These were cleaned 6 days out of 7. The bathroom and main bedroom were downstairs and another large balcony . Pools - fantastic pools and very clean and well maintained with various bars and snacks close by. Both children and adults loved them. - The downside to our stay was our shower was very predictable ... first one in got warm water .... the next 3 got cold showers!!! Even in the heat all day I would like a lukewarm shower! - The cleaner was very thorough... in fact so thorough she took my dirty washing (mainly underwear and bikini's) that was in a carrier bag hanging on the wardrobe door. It was there in the morning when we left the room and in the evening it wasn't there! I did go to reception 3 times and they said they would contact the housekeeper - when I went again they gave me a number for the police!! I didn't think that the police would do anything about our missing pants 😂 but they wanted to know if anything else was taken but all.our valuables were still there where we left them ie ipad's/phones and our documents were in the room and felt safe leaving them in the room. We walked into town and the beach a couple of times and got a taxi back (due to the climb back up the hills ) for about €5. Also Adeji was near so enjoyed a day there to at the market and the beach. Apart from the minor complaint we would go back in the future 🌞🍹🍸😎 Thankyou Gran Oasis Resort 💖 More
Sun beds at dusk!
A family of four, 2 adults and two teenage kids all inclusive. This a great family resort, very clean, very friendly happy staff who also sorted out any issues we had. So, here are my observations. 1st and foremost towels on sun beds around the main pool all down for 1am!!!! Outstanding, I have never encountered this before, luckily in our second week the management intervened. Our apartment was on the hill at the very top next to the main road (84 steps in all to get there, kept us fit) it was cleaned 6 days out of 7 and the housekeeping was very good. Food was good with plenty of variety. We did notice a family who were not all inclusive using the all inclusive service from the pool bar getting drinks and food until they were caught by Jose Manuel. The resort guests were 95% British with the rest being Spanish. It's a half walk to Las Americas. All in all a very good holiday and resort. More
Overall Good Experience
Just returned from a week at the gran oasis resort and as a family we had a great time. This is my honest review of our experience during our Stay. Hotel - the hotel and grounds are very well kept and there is a team always working hard to maintain the appearance of the hotel and its grounds. Pools- three in total including the baby pool, all surrounded by Astro Turf so kids don't slip as they runabout which is a good idea. Two bigger pools were between 1.4m - 1.5m almost throughout so kids would need to be good swimmers. Restaurants- well there is only one really with a snack bar beside the pool bar throughout the day. This in my opinion let's the hotel down a little. Because there is only one and the hotel being to capacity breakfast and evening meal was hectic. We were in a group of 10 and rarely got sat together throughout the week. Food was of a reasonable standard if not a little repetitive at times. Entertainment- The entertainment team work tirelessly throughout the day every day always with a smile on there faces. Evening entertainment was to the same standard of most similar resorts. Although the "white party" stood out as a really good night, all the staff worked out their skin during the party serving mojito cocktails to everybody's tables while you watched the show. All inclusive- we stayed on an AI basis and were very happy with the AI services offered. I have read other reviews suggesting alcohol drinks were weak. We didn't find this to be the case, and given you can have cava or red/white/rose wine by the bottle you shouldn't struggle to get drunk should you choose. Staff- the jewel in the crown of this hotel. They work so so hard to keep everyone happy, which is not easy when the hotel is so busy. Everyone with a smile on there face and didn't meet a miserable member of staff all week. Conclusion- We really enjoyed our stay but feel the hotel would be improved massively if they could somehow make space for another one or two restaurants. Given you more choice and at the same time preventing overcrowding at meal times. I feel our stay was good value for money but think the dining experience would need improving if I was going to return in school holidays. More
Staff are friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. Food was delicious, fresh and so much choice If you are having a day at the beach ask the day before and they make you a picnic to take. There is a free bus to the beach which takes about 10mins. Everywhere is tidy and clean, always staff around to tidy up and keep things looking nice Rooms are over two floors with double bed down stairs and kids camp beds upstairs. In our opinion this is not too family friendly and we were not happy to sleep downstairs whilst our children were upstairs, up a spiral staircase, and both floors has a balcony. The pools were also too deep for children to stand up in. Our holiday was early June the hotel was not overcrowded there was plenty of space and sunbeds for everyone. Drinks & cocktails delicious, self service snack bar was lovely with freshly made baguette sandwiches, hotdogs/burgers and cakes/pastries. There is nothing around this hotel you can't walk to anywhere but this was fine for us with children we were happy to stay and watch the hotel entertainment nightly. Thank you gran oasis More
