This hotel turns heads with its duo of pools, a gourmet restaurant, and the beach in walking distance.
The hotel has secured a great postcode, with the beach, Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas all around 15-minutes’ walk away. Plus some of the rooms look out on a golf course.
There are two pools, including one with in-water seats. Food-wise, the talking point is a restaurant serving gourmet cuisine. Meanwhile, tribute acts make a big impression in the evenings.

Lovely disabled friendly hotel
As I am in a wheelchair, I found the hotel very disabled friendly. Bathroom was not bad, good roll in shower, sinks are too high and toilet not that well situated right behind door so if you need to transfer to the left you could not. It was overall a good room with a twin bedroom which was a little tight so kept moving beds over a little every day and a large lounge with a sofa bed in there, slept very well, nice comfy beds. Ramps everywhere and even ramp down to get into pool. In the restaurant they were very good and saved our table every day right near the food. Food was a little samey but this is a common fault in all inclusive hotels. Japanese restaurant really good, saw the food being cooked right in front of you and really nice food. Pre mixed cocktails but a good variety of local drinks like Baileys, Ameretto, etc. Breakfast was the best meal even fresh orange juice, pancakes, every type of egg and full English breakfast. The evening entertainment was the same sort of stuff which you usually have and did not go many nights. The knife throwing and the rockabilly night were the best. The area to beach and shops is about a 15 minute walk so recommend hiring an electric chair but plenty of restaurants and shops and nice beach. Overall a good hotel to go to and would recommend it.More
Visited Marylanza Hotel at end of June. The hotel is spotless although you don't see much of cleaners they obviously do a great job. Food good, pool bar excellent for lunch. Always sunloungers available due to fact you cannot go to pool at silly o'clock to reserve them. Hotel strict about this. Couldn't fault hotel at all. Had a great holiday.More
Stayed here for a week in July and was seriously impressed with the standards at this hotel. Our room was huge, nice and clean and very comfortable with a great view over the golf course. The food was very good quality, even in a buffet the meat and fish were always perfectly cooked. There was lots of choice and they cater to gluten/lactose intolerance and diabetics which is great. Never had a problem getting a sunbed. Best hotel gym i've ever been too, had loads of good equipment. Spa was fantastic too, loved the floatation pool! Good location too, about 20 minutes from the airport and close to beaches and lots of bars. Overall a very enjoyable stay!More
When we arrived was a lovely greeting and quickly checked in. As it was night time a map was given to us to find our room and a snack box.. A couple of nights there where cockroaches on the patio and sometimes in our room! I get that this does happen. We found that if we left a towel on the bottom of the door then they will not come in. Apart from this the rooms where lovely! They where always cleaned and fresh towels if they are left in the bath... Safe in the room at a charge of €18 for the week. Wifi is free.. worked really well in our room (stayed in the E block) There where always plenty of sun lounges around the pool, never any issue finding any even after 11am.. We spent most of the time around the green pool.. pool was good temperature aswell. There where always loads of activities going on during the day and alot of people joining in. However not my thing... both for adults and kids.. The food in the main restaurant was not to our taste.. there was always loads of choice but felt like it was very much the same everynight and not very hot.. On the last night they done a Chinese theme which was really good! Best night for food when we was there. The pool bar was very nice. Cooking all day choices of burgers/hotdogs/pizza/pasta/salad.. there was loads. Could not go hungry during the day.. The drinks where there own brand but taste wasent too bad. Again with the entertainment was not to our choice. As a couple in our 20s we found it better going out to local pubs/clubs (literally €3 to the main area las americas) so good and cheap! So many places to go for a night out and the taxis where very easy and always friendly. A great hotel for families and older couples.. More
Nice but not worth a second visit...
On arrival for our one week Wedding Anniversary stay - initial impressions of the hotel was positive: it was big, welcoming friendly staff and ultra clean. We were late arriving (11:30pm) and starving! The welcome drink and lunch box offered were very much appreciated. It is very accessible and wheelchair friendly. It is a good walk away from the Beach/main resort, 20-25 minutes downhill, taxi back €5-6. Our rooms, had mountain views overlooking a golf course, was massive. Very clean but bit shabby. A few fixtures and fixings needed minor repairs/replacements. Sockets loose in the walls; cracked lampshades; holes in curtains; etc., - nothing major that can't be fixed... but it really let down the tone of the place. The cleaners came every day and replaced all towels, used or not, the entire place was kept impeccability clean. The maintenance man went in a few times too, we didn't request him at all... Using the Spa costs extra... I booked a massage one of the days and spent a glorious 3 hours in the spa pools, on one of the days that we had no sun (we were unlucky to have 4 days of cloud that week!) - bliss! Food in the buffet was a hit n miss; I had read great reviews about the buffet. And was a bit disappointed that it wasn't as wow as expected. A bit samey and basic but agree there was plenty of choices. The pool bar food is decent, simple, mostly fresh - I watched the chef prepare it every day, well covered (no flies as reported by some...), we ate lunch every day here. I had a negative experience in the buffet two evenings before we left - a staff member was really rude and made me feel really small... we never went back for dinner after that, went outside the hotel instead. I made a formal complaint to hotel management but heard nothing back... That said: the Japanese diner (one visit per stay) is top notch - amazing! We were really really impressed with the service, the food, the experience... if they had this every night, it would be 5 star! There was no problem getting sunbeds, the popular ones are usually nabbed and occupied by 9:30am (Pool attendants will remove any towels holding beds). I only saw couple of broken ones, but if you point them out to the attendants - they will remove them promptly and replaced it for you. We stayed by the green pool which was supposed to be adults only, but this rule wasn't enforced. There's sellers at the pool every day - it was a bit in-your-face with their constant announcements and 'catwalks' around the pool. One female guest did a great impersonation of them one day, borrowed a few items, and gave us a great laugh! The entertainment was good most nights - some beautiful singers/musicians, others were laughable. But that's everywhere really... felt the main lobby bar could do with some music from 10pm onward after the entertainment in the nightclub ended. The main bugbear I had was the bar - all the cocktails are made from slushies with varying degrees of cheap coloured liquor/fizzy drinks poured in. I tried them all, but the aftertaste from the liquor and the fizzy drinks machine was awful. We could pay extra for top brand alcohol, fair enough, but there was no decent mixers available to enjoy with them. I had to stick with beer, wine, odd brandy on it own... The bars are only open til 12 midnight; there was no bar service available after midnight - not even if you were willing to pay for it! Apart from that one rude waiter, we found all staff friendly and approachable - they are happy to help and advise us. I lost my iPad they offered me a replacement Samsung tablet which was a really nice and kind gesture but I was too afraid to accept it in case I damaged or lost it... Overall we liked the Marylanza but it really needs to freshen up it's image - better food & drink options and upgrade their suites to be worthy of their 4 star claim. Kudos to all the hard working staff on the level of cleanliness.More
