The Sol Tenerife brags an in-the-thick-of-things location, with a beach in one direction and Playa de las Americas’ nightlife in the other.
If we could give this hotel any postcode, it’d probably be 90210. Everything’s in easy reach – there’s a beach in front of you, a bar-lined strip behind, and the famous Siam Park waterpark just 20 minutes’ wander away.
The property’s designers took advantage of its beachfront address, carving a couple of pools into a sea-view terrace. Other deal-breakers include sports courts and a packed entertainment schedule.

Amazing hotel fab experience
Me and my friend stayed here a few weeks ago and had an amazing time, we were bed and breakfast and the breakfast was beautiful every day no complaints plenty of choice! Rooms always clean and tidy everyday... staff were very polite and helpful the hotel is in a fab location right in the middle of las Americas. Loved it! Would definately go back More
Be very carful at night
We stayed at the sol Tenerife in Mach 2017. And the Rooms were fine and the maids came in every day and did a really thorough cleaning job of the rooms. The food was fine with plenty of choice for most most people. We liked the fresh daily fruit at breakfast and dinner. With steaks and a good selection of fish and salads and there were no complaints from us . One area of concern to us was the lack of information about the area we were staying in . As you came out of the hotel main doors and you turned left there are a row of about five bars and four snack bars. During the day they were fine offering cheap priced drinks and a good atmosphere. How that all changed at night ,after nine o'clock the whole area changed for the worse. Dealers were out in force offering any drug you wanted. You have to be very carful and have your wits about you . We called in on a Wednesday night and as we sat down realised we were definitely in the wrong place and decided to leave without ordering a drink . On the Monday before from our hotel balcony we witnessed a massive fight involving about 30 people. We met a couple from our hotel who were very upset who told us the night before she was pushed down a flight of about 20 steps leading to the hotel and robbed of her hand bag . They told us after it happened they went straight back to the hotel to report it and the staff were not to overly concerned and the local police asked them to call round the next day to report it . I feel that we should be warned in advance about the areas to avoid and the staff to take a more active roll in the welfare of their guiests. As we were leaving on the Friday we saw the husband wandering off to the police station on his own. A caring hotel would have sent a member of staff with this poor man to help him and support him at the police station . Perhaps you need to look for an extra star to get that level of service . To sum up the hotel ,food, facilities ,good but a more caring attitude from staff.More

Not very good.
We have just been to the Sol Tenerife again for the 5th time.I think this will be our last stay at this hotel. The hotel is in a great location, but the hotel is looking a bit dated and need a make over. you now have to use a credit card to buy anything in the hotel and the prices are not shown anywhere . I bought 2 small bottles of water and small orange 13 e which i think is a bit expensive. The food choice was not very good and we found the food was not very hot. If you had any kind of problem the staff were great and would sort any problems out straight away. But overhall not great.More
We have stayed at Sol and Melia hotels a number of times both in Majorca and Costa del Sol and have always enjoyed our stays but we had to admit we were both a little apprehensive before our stay at this hotel because of the reviews regarding 'noise'. When we arrived we were checked in quickly with a nice glass of chilled bubbly and assured the room we were allocated was quiet. The gentleman was good to his word and we didn't hear a sound at night other than the lapping of the sea - nice. I admit we paid the extra for a direct sea view and it was worth every penny. A little dated but there was everything we needed having brought with us an extension cable to combat the lack of sockets in the bedroom. I also brought ear plugs but these were never required. The air-con was first class and having a full fridge rather than a built-in mini bar was great. The new tv had English channels and the bathroom nice toiletries if needed. My bed (the room had twin beds) was very hard and I mentioned it to reception and Immediately the mattress was changed to one a bit softer. I must say we have never encountered such pleasant and smiling reception staff, nothing was too much trouble. If you wanted to change dinner to lunch it was never a problem. The maids did a superb job with the entire room brushed and washed every day. In fact all the staff were pleasant and we must give a special mention to Carlos, our waiter at dinner, so pleasant and efficient at all times. The food could be warmer but there was a microwave. The selection was good and as we both love fish there was always a great selection each evening. The desserts were really nice especially the rich chocolate cake - yummy! Would we go back - of course we would.More
