Aquopolis Waterpark mid-May - Oct
Under 10s get a whole section to themselves at Aquopolis, and it features a tipping bucket, climbing frame, twirly slides and splash fountains. Families can slide down the Magic Oval together – four to a dinghy, or head over to the enormous lagoon pool for a swim.
For thrill-seekers there’s Boomerang – a V-shaped slide that’ll have you ricocheting up and down the sides, or Kamikaze, a rapid-decent slide. Then there’s Splash, which has you riding on a float so you skim like a stone across the landing pool.
Aquopolis waterpark is off-site, about a 10-minute walk along the seafront. And just so you know, some of the slides may be too big for little ones.
- 140cm for the Kamikaze and Splash slides
- 120cm for the Boomerang slide
For a complete list see the Aquopolis's website. The opening times vary year to year - roughly mid-May to early October. And just so you're aware, the restaurant at the waterpark is not part of your all inclusive package.

Slightly above average
Came here as a family of 5 in a 2 bed apartment, half board, kids age from 3-12. Good points * apartment is huge, cleaned every day, washing machine, well equipped kitchen. * pools, although very cold there are lots of different ones to choose from and they are all clean and well maintained. * grounds, beautiful and well kept, lots of people around doing gardening, painting etc. The place looks lovely. * location, over road from beautiful huge sandy beach, sea is shallow for a long way out so perfect for little ones. Also bang in middle of small resort centre. * Alva and Laura from kids entertainment lovely girls and of course Estivie the kiddies mascot who comes to the disco every night. Did not use mini club but lovely playground for little ones Bad points * staff (not all) very miserable and clearly prefer French or Spanish guests. Had a few issues getting served. Waiting ages and other people just walking in front of you and get served immediately. Security guard took my sons ball from him and then returned it with a puncture! * restaurants are like cattle markets (and this is only 2nd week of April!!) people pushing you out of the way, no concept of how to que for anything, pushing kids to get to food first (shocking!!) would hate to be here in high season! Food is average, we are half board, breakfast finishes at 10 and they literally will march you out the door at 10 past!! Evening meal begins at 19:30 be there for 19:15 or expect a long wait to get a table! * this didn't affect us but be warned if on All inclusive but staying in an apartment you have to walk to hotels for drinks etc as none available nearby. We have enjoyed the week but any longer would have been too long, the clientele is predominantly French and Spanish so not really made to feel welcome. More
Stayed here last year, August 2016 with my mum, my 15, 13 & 8 year old children in 2 rooms next door to each other. Just realised I hadn't written a review when reading the latest ones as I am going back this year, this time with my now 16 year old daughter & her best friend. We have booked a duplex this time, cannot wait!! Rooms were decent, they aren't the biggest with the 3rd bed along side the larger singles pushed together to make a double, but we are only in them to sleep. We were in hotel 1 with our room overlooking the pool, I liked being able to watch the entertainment from the balcony & one night I had a pounding headache but with the door closed I didn't find it too loud to relax & get to sleep early. The pool is great, freezing but it was nice to jump in to cool down as it was very hot! No problems getting sun loungers, yes it was busy but it was the height of the season so expected & yes a lot of beds had towels put down on them early but that is standard anywhere I have been. We only ate in Hotel 1 as it was really good, so much choice, we didn't bother trying the other restaurants. Snack bar all day was great too, good to be able to help ourselves to bottled water & drinks, a couple of mornings we had a longer lie so it was good to be able to help myself to my morning cappuccino's! We had the waterpark inclusive & the kids loved that, we went 3 or 4 afternoons, we just had lunch before hand & took bottles of water with us. You can get pack lunches made up if you ask at reception, which is fab, we didn't but it's good to have that option. The beach is only a very short walk away, it is lovely & very handy being so close. I love that everything you need for a chilled out holiday is on your doorstep & it is a quiet small place, not lots of clubs etc but Salou is not far if you want a more lively holiday. We had a great time, hence going back this year. More
For Lisa F. Apartment we stayed in was fantastic with its own gated pool for the few apartments in that section. Your door key accessed it. Bad point.....far from drinks, ice creams, food. We all got to know each other so quite often someone would return from the main hotel with a bucket full of lollies for the kids! Apartment has freezer anyway so you can build up a stock. Apartment has washing machine too which was great. So The best bit was no fighting for sunbeds and the pool was never overly busy. Hope this helps.More

Beautiful hotel, and very big! I stayed in hotel number two from the 4/6/16 for 7 days. It wasn't long enough!! Had a few faults but nothing major. Positives: - large hotel with lots to do - the spa with indoor pool was a must as the outdoor pools were very cold! - amazing food - so close to an amazing beach - loverly locals and hotel staff - water park included was brilliant Negatives - Night time entertainment could be better but went quite early in the season so it was fine - requested a double bed in the room as it was an option but didn't get it - pool was very cold Apart from the few nit picky things the holiday was amazing and first time away together for me and my partner so was a great way to start off our holiday making. there was also plenty of day trips to do which we would have done if we were there for longer but between the beach, pool, spa and water park 7 days is just not enough!More
