Under 10s get a whole section to themselves at Aquopolis, and it features a tipping bucket, climbing frame, twirly slides and splash fountains. Families can slide down the Magic Oval together – four to a dinghy, or head over to the enormous lagoon pool for a swim.
For thrill-seekers there’s Boomerang – a V-shaped slide that’ll have you ricocheting up and down the sides, or Kamikaze, a rapid-decent slide. Then there’s Splash, which has you riding on a float so you skim like a stone across the landing pool.
Aquopolis waterpark is off-site, about a 10-minute walk along the seafront. And just so you know, some of the slides may be too big for little ones.
- 140cm for the Kamikaze and Splash slides
- 120cm for the Boomerang slide
For a complete list see the Aquopolis's website. The opening times vary year to year - roughly mid-May to early October. And just so you're aware, the restaurant at the waterpark is not part of your all inclusive package.

We visited estival park recently and stayed in hotel 1. On arrival check in was quick and staff polite, our request for lower floor was given. Rooms were fine, big enough for 3 of us and a nice bathroom. The complex was massive, this is one of the things that appealed to us but was actually not great, all of the hotels served similar food of the same standard, very repetetive even in a week. Thomson reps weren't great, the noise in our room was unbelievable, fighting in the corridor, throwing up next door, this went on for 3 nights until I asked Thomson to move us. They did eventually but we wasted 3 hours trying to get them to do this, they even told me not to bother asking reception as they wouldn't cooperate with us! All good once we moved we managed a good night's sleep. Entertainment was awful, never saw anything for the kids it didn't seem to be on in the hotel advertised, and the adults was to be fair pretty bad. The pool bae eas never open all week and some of the advertised all inckusive perks such as ice creams and slushes for the kids werent available either. All in all an average hotel that cost us a lot of money and really wasnt worth it ! Surrounding area of la pineda very pretty, nice beach and prom and some shops bars and restaurants. I liked the location of the complex right on the sea front, and a ten minute walk to the water park which we all loved, not sure on price as it was included but lockers available for 6euro and a deposit. Tip would be to go late morning or after lunch as queues to get in were huge when opening. Dolphin show was lovely and the slides fun, would recommend a visit. More

Perfect food and amazing personal
We rented apartments in the section #5 on the 3rd floor for 10 nights in the beginning of September. There were only two rainy days. There was +28 - +33 C. The sea was wonderful and warm (of course, after some minutes adoption). There were waves one day and we were skiing on them. There are several small cities (Salou, Tarragona, Reus, Cambrils) around (15-20 min trip by BusPlano bus). We didn't have any problems with personal, everything could be explained on the reception except cases when nobody speaks Russian or even English to understand what you want (but gestures and extra explanation solved the issue). Unfortunately, nobody told us about free "Padel", but there was a schedule with activities where we noticed it. I would recommend using HB food in order to be able to visit local restaurants, they are amazing. I recommend visiting Dorado restaurant. Be careful to rent a hotel room in Hotel #2 if you wanna sleep, earlier than 10-11p.m. There was loud music there. The same thing who want to live in Hotel Pineda near. Food is delicious!More
great family hotel
stayed from 6 - 12 Sept. very enjoyable, lovely hotel. staff were attentive, food was good & plentiful. Hotel 2 was a bit shabby - hallways etc. however it certainly doesnt take away from the holiday. all inclusive is good value. we would definitely stay again. More
Second Visit - As good as the First
Visited Estival Park for 10 nights end of Aug 2017, Upon arrival given a Duplex room overlooking side road. Very disappointed with this room so spoke to reception, Ingrid was on Duty, told her our issue and she moved us straight away to a new room over looking Pool. No fuss, just great service. Don't be fooled by the negative reviews on here about the Food. Amazing choice every mealtime, yes it repeats if staying for more then 7 days but due to the options available pick something different. Also if you don't fill your plate like some of the glutens visiting the hotel you can go up as many times as you want have a small portion of everything to find something you will like. No problem getting a sunbed as at Hotel 2 you can't access the pool area until 8 am but if you do want to play bag a sunbed there are still plenty of sunbeds still available. Some people moaning on here about kids running about but I'm 100% sure that this is aimed at the FAMILY market, kids are allowed to have fun, If "couples" want to have a quieter holiday, book the appropriate accommodation. Snack Bar great choice and option if you don't want to use the restaurant, available 12 hours a day. All inclusive area to get your own drinks/beer/snacks always full and staff available. We found staff to be great, a special mention to Nica the waiter who was always polite and worked tirelessly. Room cleaned daily and towels changed if requested. Will be booking this Hotel again as very clean, great complex and choice of pools to use.More
