Aquopolis Waterpark mid-May - Oct
Under 10s get a whole section to themselves at Aquopolis, and it features a tipping bucket, climbing frame, twirly slides and splash fountains. Families can slide down the Magic Oval together – four to a dinghy, or head over to the enormous lagoon pool for a swim.
For thrill-seekers there’s Boomerang – a V-shaped slide that’ll have you ricocheting up and down the sides, or Kamikaze, a rapid-decent slide. Then there’s Splash, which has you riding on a float so you skim like a stone across the landing pool.
Aquopolis waterpark is off-site, about a 10-minute walk along the seafront. And just so you know, some of the slides may be too big for little ones.
- 140cm for the Kamikaze and Splash slides
- 120cm for the Boomerang slide
For a complete list see the Aquopolis's website. The opening times vary year to year - roughly mid-May to early October. And just so you're aware, the restaurant at the waterpark is not part of your all inclusive package.

Largest variety of food ever seen
Probably the 10 th time I am staying here and I still recommend it to anyone for its abundance of food on the various buffets. ( regularly themed buffets) See my picturs- it's really amazing! The night animation is of a very high level. The sandy Beach and some beachshops are just a few minutes walk. Hypermodern Spa AQUUM is ideal to relax when it's a cloudy day - there is also a sort of VIP section ( extra entrance fee) where there is a limitation of guests- with japanese baths. The restaurant in building I has been renovated - great- modern and spacious! More

On holiday with my daughter and granddaughters, after reading some of the reviews I was not looking forward to staying here! Thanks to Ely at check in , VERY pleasant and thanks for initial welcome and Spanish conversation!! You should be training others, maybe? Noting some remarks of other reviews. I was pleasantly surprised as the food was great, plenty of choice and variety. Eat all meals a little later after opening times, missed most of the rush. The staff in the restaurant were pleasant and hard working, a nice touch being served a half bottle of wine, saves getting up for a refill or having to wait for service. The snack bar is very good, nice touch with the crisps and peanuts. All food, hot dogs, beef burgers cooked to perfection, pity the lunch is so good as I enjoyed the use of the snack bar on our first day. The bar staff were very pleasant, did not keep you waiting long, and the drinks were of a high quality, special mention for Elizabeth. Of course this is a family hotel so there is bound to be a lot of noise but the location, near to the beach, affords the opportunity to take a walk or swim in the sea, nice to get a little peace in the afternoon. The beach is lovely and the sea safe to swim, the water park is only 5 mins walk away and it was enjoyed by the grandchildren. Salou is only a 15 min bus ride, busy place, plenty of shops etc. Went to the theme park 7 till midnight, value for money, a trip worth doing no matter what age you are. Met some lovely people, guests and staff. There are always some disappointments but generally I think that this hotel has more pluses than negatives, and I enjoyed my stay as did my Daughter and granddaughters One suggestion is that if it would be possible that a speciality restaurant be incorporated in the complex, reservations with a small surcharge ( steaks, etc) as most hotels have this facility. Free wifi everywhere is available.More
Ok holiday for family of 3
We have just returned from a weeks stay here. Stayed here with my Husband and 7 year old daughter. Got off to a rocky start, after an early 6am flight, we arrived and couldn't check in until 2pm so we couldn't relax and fully enjoy our holiday. We did get out wristbands so we could start using the All inclusive. Our luggage was kept in a locked room and when we wanted to go back and get my daughters swim gear we had to wait for about 15 mins before someone could come and unlock. Once in our room (we stayed in Hotel 1) we went down to the pool but there was no spare sun loungers so we headed to Hotel 3 where it was a lot quieter. I preferred Hotel 1 as it felt so much more modern that the others. Hotel 2 was ok, but hotel 3 felt very dated. After our first day of sunbathing we headed up to the room for showers. we soon realised that we couldn't have too many things plugged in at the same time as we tripped out the electrics!! This happened twice and we had to wait a very long time for someone to fix. Not great! The hotel could do with a lot of modernisation! Food was amazing! so much choice, Hotel 1 & 2 had the best food, even my picky daughter found something to eat. Pools were ok but very small, some days it was very crowded, and some people in the pools were being very aggressive with playing ball games, we got hit a few times! We had a pool facing room which we was originally happy with but soon realised these room can be very noisy! wasn't so much the entertainment (this was very loud, but didn't mind this as we was out most nights watching it) but was the people hanging around after shouting till gone midnight! Then your awake again at 7am with the sound of sunbeds being dragged about! Overall we had a good holiday. Weather was brilliant. La pineda is beautiful. The Aquapark was great fun. Shame there was no Dolphin show. Would we return? Probably not as it is too noisy and the hotel needs updating, plus needs bigger pools!More
Me my partner and our 2 year old girl went here for a 1 week all inclusive family holiday. We arrived to find our room wasn't even ready yet, we had to wait half an hour for it. The hotel lobby looks outdated, cryptic and creepy. The elevators are very narrow and the doors shut way to fast resulting in the pram being bashed and a drink being knocked out of my hand. The room was ok but outdated. The hotel staff especially in the bars were rude and lazy. The Entertainment was on most nights boring. There was alot of late nights due to drunk parents letting there kids run riot in the hallways the hotel seems to condone this behaviour. Now on the other hand the hotel is close to the beach but as you leave the complex you get hounded by street hustlers. The hotel food for the most part was great. Another con is the rooms do not have a microwave (for baby's bottles) and if you want a kettle they charge extra, so to summarize the cons far outweigh the pros, waste of money we will not be returning.More
Holiday in July with boy 12 & girl 9. Didnt get off to great start as the Duplex which we paid extra for was very very poor. After a couple of nights the wife went for it as the air-con upstairs was non-existent and sweated buckets whilst kids froze downstairs!! Upgraded to a 1 bed apartment which is a must in our opinion. Estival has to be complimented for the food which we thought was great. A slight variation ie 'Curry Night' for example might mix things up. We did a few trips, use Busplana (shop 5min away at the front) for Barcelona as you save about 100€ against Thomson. Beach is only 5-10min away which is good fun. Enertainment is ok especially the Sunday night quiz night @ hotel 2 great laugh... More
