The Hotel Golden Donaire Beach has the location angle down – it’s in a beachfront spot close to the centre of town, and PortAventura theme park is only a few minutes’ drive away.
Location is the watchword here. Bars, restaurants and a waterpark are less than 10 minutes’ walk away, and El Racó Beach – a wide stretch of golden sand – edges the hotel’s grounds. PortAventura’s close by, too.
Sea views come courtesy of the pool terrace and bar – some bedrooms offer them, too. And there’s lots in the way of activities, with things like badminton, archery and water polo on offer.

Really good value for family holiday
Just returned from 2 weeks staying all inclusive with family (4 adults and 2 children). Rooms were small and could do with updating but were clean and tidy. Our only complaint was sunbeds were reserved first thing in the morning and often not used until late in day. Had smashing time and would return.More

Amazing two week's
I have just returned from two weeks at this fabulous hotel and resort. We went as a family of six with ages ranging from 68-10. We stayed all inclusive and we're more than happy with the options available to us. After reading previous review I was slightly concerned and yes the rooms are outdated but we only slept In them so who cares! They were spotless, cleaned daily with fresh bedding every three day's. Our fabulous cleaning lady would even give us clean towels when we were having a lazy morning and she couldn't get in. The buffet dining had a massive selection even if something's were out of our comfort zone. There were a couple of fussy eaters in our group and they managed to survive. The staff were fantastic, taking your drinks order as soon as we sat down. Although the all inclusive drinks were some what limited I strongly suggest you check out the bar menu as there are a far more options than we realised. We chose to suplement some of our drinks but that only cost an extra euro per bottle of beer. The bar by the main entrance running alongside the beach became our local. Beautiful location and warm welcoming staff. Overall if you want a comfortable, well run hotel in a beautiful location I would highly recommend chosing this hotel. My only two issues (and this is me being picky) no laundry facilities,or anywhere to dry your beach clothes and the ferel children running amok in the lifts . We loved it here and this would be out first choice if we come back to Law Penida.More
From the minute we got off our coach and walked through the revolving doors I knew this was going to be a holiday to remember. Pepe greeted us at the door with a hello and a smile, he immediately helped our 7 year old who was struggling with her suitcase, he was friendly throughout our stay. The reception staff were nice and very professional, we were given our room numbers and all inclusive bands and told to come back at 12 for our room keys which we did. Rooms are dated but immaculate and ours overlooked the beach, we had a stunning view! Rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels too. Shower was good (power shower) there is a hairdryer but it's not very good so bring your own. Beds are comfy but firm and air con works great. If they upgrade the rooms this hotel would definitely be worthy of a 4 star status. Food is delicious, caters for all tastes and restaurant immaculate with staff working none stop! You will never go hungry. There are 2 bars were you can get slushes, drinks, snacks on all inclusive, we were treated like everyone else no waiting around in the day, evenings are busy so you might wait an extra 5-10 mins to be served, no big deal and that only happened a couple of times! The entertainment staff make this hotel, David, Brox, Max, Reshem, Ella, Aleks, Carolina, Valeria....every single one of them, they have a constant smile on their face, very friendly, funny and great with kids, teenagers and adults! They work so hard to make your holiday special. We loved aqua gym with Brox, he's hilarious 😂 evening entertainment from the evening staff was brilliant, Grease and pop stars being my favourites. There are activities for all ages throughout the day, my partner and teenagers loved the football, water basket ball, water volley ball and beach volleyball. The Goldy club is brilliant! My 2 youngest Isla and Dylan loved it! The girls who run it are lovely. It's also great because it means my two youngest are out of the sun for a few hours during the day. They've done master chef, pirate party, ice cream party and lots of other activities. In regard to the bed issue if you want a decent bed you have to get up and queue aslong as you're down before 8.15 you'll get one. I queued as wanted to be as close to the pool as possible so I could keep an eye on my 6 and 7 year old. Pool is warm-ish it's not very big but does the job. There's a brilliant indoor pool that our kids loved and another 3 small pools for toddlers. More beds would be great. The beach is lovely and right on your door step! We had 2 beach days and 2 days at aqaopolis but you really don't have to leave the hotel as loads going on all the time. We also went down to the shops along the strip there's some lovely shops there so if wanting gifts you don't need to go into Salou. We love this place now and will be returning next year, we personally feel that it is definitely worth the money, I mean what more could you ask for? Hotel on the beach, immaculate, friendly staff who work none stop, comfortable rooms, brilliant food and entertainment, a water park a 10 min walk away, buses right outside the hotel if you want to do some sight seeing and loads of daily activities! We had a fantastic experience, those of you coming for the first time will love it I have no doubt about that!! Well done Golden Donaire you have another family who will be returning year after year ❤️More
Like being back in the 70,s
On arrival we where told the room wasn't ready and to come back to reception in 2 and a half hours. Not good with an over tired grandson wanting to play. I cant understand why the room wasn't ready as when we did get the key the room was so small I could have cleaned it in 3 minutes. We had to move furniture to get in the wardrobe and safe because the bed was 4 inches from the doors. The room was like a flash back to the 70s, using the stairs was like returning to your cell in Strangeways prison, not what you see on the internet. When we complained about the room the reception staff lied and said the rooms were all the same size. Set your alarm if you want a sun bed because there just isn't enough, when you pay £2500 for a week a sun bed would have been nice so some days we were forced to go to the beach where your all inclusive counts for nothing. Not all but some of the bar staff were really miserable. The whole hotel was tired. The only good point was a Corneto or Magnum ice cream included in the all inclusive.More
Only one thing let's this hotel down.
This was our second visit to the Golden Donaire Beach Hotel and we returned because we enjoyed our first trip. Food was still as good as were the staff and entertainment crew. The only thing that let's this hotel down is the complete lack of sunbeds. If i hadn't seen it with my own eyes i wouldn't have believed it. A stampede at 8 am every morning as soon as the doors were opened. People throwing towels down off balconies to grab the sunbed that they seem to think was theirs for the whole 2 weeks of their stay. God forbid if they didn't get it. It was so bad on a few days that my husband and I just went to the beach. I must say that I've never known a Spanish hotel without parasols either,if you wanted one you had to buy one for 5 euros from the local shop. That aside we had a good holiday at an amazing price so that more than made up for the lack of sunbeds. A special hello goes to Pepe the lovely doorman who has a smile and a joke for everyoneMore
