We spent a week here with our 13 & 16 year old boys. Firstly this is NOT a 4 Star hotel. The rooms are extremely dated & v badly in need of refurbishment. If you accept that then this hotel is fine. We had interconnected rooms on the first floor. They had a nice view of the pool area which saved us looking over some of the high buildings surrounding the hotel. Our room had a nearby side access to the pool which was v handy. We sat by the pool beside the bar & it was fine, fairly quiet. The sun beds are all "taken" by 8am with beach towels for people who don't bother turning up to claim their beds. The hotel shouldn't allow this. Also there are not nearly enough sun umbrellas- about 1 umbrella per 10 sun beds. We went half board. The breakfast was v good with lots of fresh fruit, pancakes & lovely breads. The dinner was v poor so we swapped for lunch most days. Lunch was better with a good choice of salads and usually one nice main course. We didn't watch the shows because we went out every evening. The outside area had nice seating area for an early evening drink. Happy hour is from 8 - 9 with all drinks half price ! Staff everywhere were v friendly & couldn't do enough for you. Location is good, easy walk to town or beach but with no local noise. More
Stayed here for 10 nights all inclusive and it was brilliant! The food was great, always hot and frequently replenished. Animation team were amazing, they worked exceptionally hard every day offering activities for all age groups! All of the team were great however 3 members stood out to me, the girl with blonde hair and glasses I think her name was Ayja, the girl with brown hair and glasses and Israel. They always gave 100% effort and did their job excellently! The restaurant staff Javier and Antonio were always super friendly and remembered everyone by name. The rooms were basic but extremely clean. The pool area was spacious and had plenty of sun beds and 2 main pools to offer. Overall the hotel is great and would highly recommend for everyone!!More
We're just home from a week half board here. The food was fantastic, the staff were fab. The air con was brilliant in the rooms. There wasn't much happening in the hotel during the day but the kids loved the pool. The rooms were very clean and the maid service was great. Our check I'm time wasn't until 3 but when we landed at 12.30 out room was ready which we were delighted with after traveling from 2amMore
A week in the Spanish sun
We have just returned from a week half board. The hotel is lovely. Not a four star by any means but still very nice. The hotel is very clean. The staff work around the clock and it's shown in all public areas and rooms that cleanliness is a priority. ROOM The room is basic. Not enough plug sockets and weird placement of light switch behind our pillows! The rooms need to be updated. Bathroom is great. Hairdryer and plug socket large vanity mirror and shaving mirror.shower is good probably needs to be a bit more powerful but that's just my individual like. We had room over looking the pool and defo recommend that view rather than the view onto a busy street. The fridge is big enough for couple large bottles of water and Tins of pop/beer. The safe is payable locally which we didn't use. Plenty of space for clothes. The corridor gets noisy at night when families return to their rooms but nothing to disturb sleep. The beds are adequate in my opinion but again it's personal preference and if you need more pillows the hotel are very quick to sort that out. The room is cleaned every day and towels changed daily. Tea and coffee is replenished daily. FOOD The food selection is great. I would say it's the most outstanding thing about the hotel. The staff are friendly and remember everyone by name! The selections r plentiful and even my fussy husband had lots to choose from. The food is always hot and replenished quickly. Breakfast choice is huge. We were half board so didnt have lunches. Dinners were just as wood but you have to pay for drinks in the evening which I think is ok but I would have liked water to have been free. Desserts are delicious and the rice pudding was so good and just what my mum used to make it was eaten most days. Again the restaurant was spotless clean and the waiters cleared up so quickly. It never felt rushed or packed. POOLS There are 3 outdoor pools. The main pool was swarming with kids and inflatables each day so we didn't use very often. The sports pool was where a lot of the daytime activities took place and was a nice pool for a swim and was next to the snack bar. We favoured the more relaxing upper deck pool. Not really a pool more of a cooling off point but was perfect as was quieter and mainly adults. SUNBEDS! Ahhhh was dreading the subbed dash but it was never a problem! We went down at 8am every morning and could choose where we wanted. Saw loads of beds free up until around 9. Of course people were reserving them from stupid o'clock (funny to sit and watch) but we had a subbed every day with no hassle. There are not enough umbrellas at all but there is a lot of shade from the trees that are around the pools. The indoor pool was nice but again mainly full of kids. SPA We visited the spa once. Cost €6 euro each for 1hr. It's nice but nothing special. We had a day of rain so was nice to have something to do in the hotel. It's adults only. Lastly wifi. This was shockingly bad! This needs to be improved. We had to resort to 4g for the whole of our weeks holiday. Not impressed. We didn't watch any of the evening entertainment so cannot comment on that. We had a great holiday and salou is a lovely place. It's a 10 min walk to beach shops and is worth the time. I wouldn't hesitate returning back to salou and would recommend the hotel to anyone. More
Our first stay at this hotel was 4 years ago and we have been back each year. It is one of the best all-inclusive hotels we have stayed at and believe me we have stayed at a few. We stayed the first 2 weeks of July and when we arrived the reception staff were really helpful and said our room would be ready in 30 minutes and it was! We had a room on the 3rd floor at the side of the hotel and it was lovely and quiet. The rooms are clean and are a credit to the cleaners who work tirelessly to keep them that way. All the staff are so friendly and make you feel welcome. Javier and Antonio on the restaurant always have a smile on their faces and always acknowledge you and how they remember your names each year is beyond me when they see so many people. The entertainment staff work really hard to try and keep everyone happy. The shows they put on are brilliant and well put together and Israel is so funny and talented he should to be on the TV. My husband took part in the adult activities during the day and even won a diploma! We cannot fault this hotel and we have booked another week in September and are really looking to returning!More
