Nice family break
We visited with our children, 9 and 5. The hotel is beautiful with lovely views over the beach and the sunset over dinner is spectacular. The food here is incredible. A great choice and caters for fussy kids too. The drinks list left a lot to be desired for me personally though when compared to similar 5star all inclusive holidays we have been on. I am a cocktail lover so was hugely disappointed not to find the traditional, pina Coladas, daiquiris, cosmo etc etc. The hotel video of a waiter serving beautiful cocktails got me excited before we left but alas this was not the case. They did offer very basic cocktails. The bar staff do not speak much English so here more than anywhere it is important to learn some Turkish. We did ask if they could make these drinks but no one could understand. We ordered a Diet Coke and was given a glass of Sambuca!! Another time we ordered a lemonade and got a shot of banana liquor! We fast learnt to ask for Sprite rather than lemonade! Apparently the beer is good. Faik was a particularly friendly member of staff who fetched us drinks and made us feel very welcome. He put a lot of effort in to visiting us at our table each evening and all the other families too. This was possibly the best part of our holiday. Another great but unexpected aspect was the hotel photographers. For just 5 Euros per photo we have some really stunning professional family photos to take home. I also had some put on a disk to enlarge once home. This was brilliant. The rooms are nice but soundproofing, or lack of was a big issue for me. We had a swim up room. The main hotel may be better. It was nice to have a pool so close and may be very useful when in height of the season so you can get a sun lounger but otherwise I wouldn't book it here again. Other swim up room pools elsewhere have been much more special. We were also very cold in our room but our Thomson rep was fab and arranged for duvets straight away which we were very grateful for. Kids club is great! Olga in particular is a huge credit to the hotel. Our son ended up going every day as he woke up excited and counting down the time until it opened at 10! All in all it's been a good holiday. More
Palm Wings Ephesus Resort Kusadasi
It is a nice hotel. Suitable for family. The rooms are well located, particularly the ones in the main building, and clean. The sercive is well, especially Ms Funda Demirkil and Mr Faik Ates are very hard working and do their jobs willingly.More
It's very poor hotel, room was clean but the food was triable. It's old hotel, in the past this hotel's name was Surmeli. Animation team are very amateur. Shopping store in hotel unbelievable price and so expensive but for things you need suitable. I don't suggestion this hotel.More
Surmeli is a beautiful resort with very good food. My husband was saying is "cookies paradise ". The atmosphere is beautiful and the position of the resort as well. Was very relaxing to stay on the beach, enjoying a cocktail or a slice of pizza. The view from the room was very nice and the room comfort was high. Would recommend to go! More
best location, big hotel, clean sea.
The hotel is very big, with large rooms, double rooms. Pools are very clean, and in front of some apartments, if you stay in first floor, you'll have your own pool, where others (second and upper floor residents) can't go and use it. There is one disadvantage for me, that hotel doesn't have a pier on sea, where people could jump into the sea from the pier :) And what i liked the most is that once in a week they organize turkish food night, with only turkish foods. Cig-kofte, baklavas, different turkish soups. Mmm delicious :)More
