Excess baggage

When do excess baggage fees apply?

Your baggage will be weighed when you check in. If you have exceeded your baggage allowance you will be required to pay an extra charge per kilogram over.

Please note, the maximum limit for each individual piece of luggage is 23kg. Any item weighing more than 23kg at check-in will need to be re-packed.

How much does excess baggage cost?

For short haul flights and mid haul flights (including flights to mainland Spain, Portugal, the Balearics, Italy, Lapland, Bulgaria, the Canary Islands, Cyprus, Egypt and Turkey), the excess baggage charge is €12 or £12 per kilogram.

When and how are excess baggage fees paid?

Your excess baggage charges must be paid when you check in at the airport. Most major credit and debit cards, cheques, cash and local currency will be accepted. This may vary, depending on the airport.
