Can I take sports equipment on a Thomson Airways flight?

Sports equipment:
If you're taking sports equipment with you, please call us at least 2 months before you travel on 1850 94 61 64 (Republic of Ireland) 028 90 389 387 (Northern Ireland) to book it onto your flight. Calls cost 10p per minute plus network extras. If you don't book in advance, we might not be able to carry your sports equipment, as there may not be space available on the plane.

Protecting your sports equipment:
We recommend you insure your sports equipment for its replacement value and make sure it's securely packed with zip compartments padlocked. If you're taking a bicycle, we recommend you use a bicycle bag. Handlebars must be turned inwards, pedals removed, tyres deflated and the bicycle must be wrapped in plastic or cardboard.

Diving equipment:
You’ll need to pay an extra charge to carry up to 15kg of diving equipment. However, if you can show a diving certificate at check-in, you’ll get an extra 5kg luggage allowance for free.

Can I take a musical instrument on a Thomson Airways flight?

If your instrument is larger than the maximum hand baggage dimensions, you’ll need to check it in for an extra charge. We recommend you mark the instrument as fragile and advise check-in staff to handle with care.
