Luggage delays and damage

What happens if my luggage is lost or damaged?

You must report any lost or damaged baggage to the airline's handling agent at your arrival airport, usually located at a desk in the baggage reclaim area.

You will be given a copy of a Property Irregularity Report (PIR). It is very important that you complete the form correctly as this information will be needed to search for your bag. Once your baggage has been located you will be informed immediately. It will then be delivered to the address on your Property Irregularity Report (PIR).

If you need to claim for damaged or lost luggage, you will need to send a copy of your Property Irregularity Report (PIR) to your travel insurance company within the amount of time specified in your insurance policy document. For damaged luggage this is normally within 21 days of the receipt of your baggage.
