Dropping off the radar here is a cinch. With its mix of old-stone houses, family-run tavernas and a pretty village square, it’s got old-world charm written all over it. And, when you factor in the silver-tinted olive groves, a quiet country vibe and beaches just 5km away, it’s easy to see why this is such a relaxing holiday spot. Plus, there’s the Aqualand waterpark nearby. Further afield is Achilleion Palace, which was built for Empress Elizabeth of Austria and used as a set in the James Bond film ‘For Your Eyes Only’, and Corfu Town.
