The Costa del Sol boasts a multitude of fascinating places to visit, from the ancient history of Granada and beautiful Seville, to the dramatic caves of Nerja and even the rock of Gibraltar. There's no shortage of nightlife to suit all tastes, with numerous bars and discos and plenty of 'Flamenco' for the true taste of Spain.

All resorts have a great selection of restaurants. Best value is in Torremolinos, Benalmadena and Fuengirola. For example, in the town of Arroyo De La Miel close to Benalmadena, there are a number of restaurants offering a 3 course meal with a drink for about €6.35. Restaurants in Marbella and Puerto Banus are more up-market.
Local specialities such as anchovies marinated in vinegar and garlic, fish baked in rock salt and delicious Chorizo.
Shops on the coast are open Monday to Friday 9.30 to 14.00 and from 17.00 to 21.00. Open morning hours Saturday in low season. Closed Sundays.

The Costa comes into its own at night. Try some of Spain's most fashionable nightclubs in Marbella. For party people, nearby Puerto Banus beckons. This town offers a choice of bars and discos and a casino. Torremolinos is known for its bars of all nationalities. Benalmadena has a vibrant nightlife with plenty of late-night bars and discos. Fuengirola's many bars and discos are frequented by locals and holidaymakers alike.
