One of the most famous resorts in the Mediterranean, Marbella is home to expensive boutiques and some of Spain's most fashionable nightclubs. In contrast Marbella's old town is a warren of narrow streets and Moorish fortifications. The beaches offer various watersports and excellent golfing facilities are nearby. Close to the old town centre of Marbella and backed by the Sierra Blanca mountains is the cosmopolitan resort of Puerto Banus. There is a bustling marina with elegant open-air terrace cafes and chic shops as well as two beautiful sandy beaches. At night, join in the revelries at one of the many bars and nightclubs of the area.
