Departure
Don’t forget your passport! Check in at the airport, and board Falcon’s special early morning flight to the Rovaneimi in the North Pole. On board, children are given colouring packs and santa hats, and you can take part in some festive carol singing. Breakfast will be served during the flight, so you can sit back and relax. Santa knows that you’re on your way!
Activities
A magical mystery tour
At Rovinemi Airport you’ll be greeted by the friendly elves and taken by coach to Santa’s Secret Grotto in SantaPark. Here, you’ll be given your own Lappish passport as a special souvenir to take home with you. This passport is a pass for the various activities throughout the day.
All aboard
Children get ready for a really cool Christmas-themed ride. You'll chug along on a special train through Santa's workshop. And on the way you'll see his elves hard at work, toys lined up ready to be delivered to good boys and girls, and plenty of snowy scenery, too.
Meet Old Man Reindeer
Listen to stories and tales as you learn about the Arctic Circle crossing ceremony.
Winter woodland
You’ll visit the dressing room, where you’ll be able to get wrapped up from head to toe in a cosy outfit that’ll keep you nice and warm in the snow. Then follow the path through snowy pines to try short reindeer and husky sleigh rides, snowmobiling, sledging and mini-skidoo rides for children. After all of the excitement of these short taster rides, spend some time playing in the snow and making snow-angels, then take a break and sip some warm berry juice while you thaw your fingers beside the campfire.
Christmas comes early
Santa’s a busy man, but he’s happily made time to meet you and give you a little present. Don’t forget to ask the elves how to greet him in Finnish. You can get your souvenir photo taken together, which you can purchase straight after.
Elf School
Here at the Lappish school, you’ll learn all the secrets and tricks of Santa’s famous little helpers before your elf graduation. Your Diploma from Elf School is included, and will be given to you at the end of the day.
Tea time
Head to the open planned restaurant in the heart of the grotto, where lunch is included. You can buy tea, coffee, soft drinks and other snacks from here too. While you eat, there is a small drama/musical (at various times throughout the day) with singing and dancing to entertain the kids.
Santa’s Giftshop
Here’s your chance to stock up on a few Christmas souvenirs for your friends back home.
The Ice Queen’s Ice Bar and Gallery
Before entering the Ice Queen’s bar and gallery, you’ll be given a thermal jacket as it’s below freezing inside. Here adults can buy a drink at the Ice bar and spend time enjoying the impressive range of dazzling ice-sculptures in the Gallery.
Mrs Claus’ Bakery
Next up, you can buy a tea or coffee and relax for a while watching the kids decorate gingerbread cookies with the help of the elves. But whose will look the coolest?
Santa’s Post Office
It’s time to write home to tell your friends all about Santa’s beard, your favourite elf and the fuzzy huskies. Here you can buy letters, postcards, Finnish stamps and even a special Arctic Circle Stamp. You can even arrange to post a letter for the following Christmas!
Flying home
Worn out but full of stories for friends and family, Santa’s elves will take you on coaches back to the airport, ready to fly home.
Because your day’s packed with fun, the order of events may differ from above, but it’ll still be chock-a-block with festive fun.
