Fabulous All Inclusive Hotel
Just returned from a fabulous 2 weeks at this hotel. We were not sure what to expect as we had not been AI before but the facilities were fantastic. From the time we checked in we felt at home. A bell boy took our bags to our room. Our room was on the 7th floor and had beautiful views of both the pool and the sea. The room was very comfortable with a huge bed, flat screen tv, free aircon, free safe and a fridge full of beer, soft drinks and water. Optics were on the wall with Vodka, Rum, Brandy and of course Tequila. The bathroom was spacious with 2 sinks, a WC and a huge walk in shower, which was always warm. Shower Gel, Shampoo and soap supplied too. The maid cleaned our room everyday, making our bed and replacing towels. Towel Art too. One day we arrived back to our room to find a vase of fresh flowers. When asked who they were from the maid told me from him. How sweet!!! Free WiFi.... There are 4 restaurants with plenty of different foods, so eating was never a problem. The Albatross buffet was very good every day. The Asian restaurant was lovely too. I did not try the steakhouse, or Mexican restaurant as my husband does not eat it, but friends tell me they were lovely too. A big thank you to Antonio our waiter in the Albatross for looking after us so well. There is a sports bar open 24 hours a day if you want to get out of the heat. It is air coned and very cool. Vincente looked after us here on more than one occasion. The pools are a nice size and never overcrowded. Getting in is like stepping into a bath!!! Plenty of sun beds too. Pool Bar is a swim up bar, so you can have a cold drink and stay in the water to keep cool, or just lay on the sun bed and let the waiter bring your drink to you. Lots of entertainment from the Animation Team too during the day and in the Calypso Bar in the evenings. Pool foam parties, Beach Parties Only gripe is that the entertainment finishes early, and there is not a disco. Bars all close at 12pm, apart from the sports bar. The sea is warm too. We had the back end of Irma, so the beach was closed for a few days whilst they cleared up the sea grass and damage to the mooring. Trips we did : Dolphin Discovery - Amazing... a must do if you have not before. Catamaran - Snorkelling, swimming - fab day Captain Hook Pirate Ship - Crazy night out on the water with fireworks. CocoBongo - Amazing... Vegas show and Nightclub... Not for the faint hearted... Very loud and lots of flashing lights. Shopping centre is called Liverpool... There is a lovely Thai restaurant on the Lagoon.. Reasonably priced. Get a booth to watch the sun go down... amazing sunset. All in all this hotlidayl gets a 10 out of 10 from us. Really did not want to come home, and now we are booking to return next year.More
amazing 2 weeks
just come back from the rui caribe after spending 2 amazing weeks there. firstly let me explain about our room we emailed the hotel before we went asking for a end balcony above the 5th floor (having read reviews on here) we wasnt disapointed they gave us room 790 which overlooks both the caribean sea and the lagoon.the room itself was perfect with a massive bed plenty of hanging space in the wardrobe and a luxurious bathroom with the best shower ive used in any hotel. the drinks were topped up every other day which was plenty and the room was cleaned every day(unless you state other wise) with fresh towels and a lovely treat made from towels left on your bed. the facilities at the rui caribe in my opinion will suite any taste firstly your greeted by the bell boys who insist on unloading your bags for you whilst you go inside to be greeted by reception who quickly organise a welcome drink, they have your room key, towel cards and wrist bands all ready for you, they even bring your bags up to your room.sun beds are ample,so no problems finding somewhere to top up your tan,the pool bars and the staff that fetch you drinks all day ,especially with the high temperatures, are always a welcome sight. there is something for everyone when it comes to food, theres the main buffet restuarant, the steak house ,a chinese and a mexican, and you dont have to book these just turn up between 6.30 and 9,if there busy the will give you a buzzer, this lets you no when your table is ready. finally the best thing about this hotel is simply the staff absolutely nothing is to much trouble they always have a smile on there face weather its the cleaner at 8am or the bartender at 3am in the sports bar even had the pleasure of meeting the big boss (think hes called nicolas) one night as he found us a table in the restruarant . can not recomend this hotel more and cant wait to visit againMore
Best holiday ever
Just returned from the Riu Caribe cancun . I can honestly say we it's one of the best holidays we've had , in fact all ready looking to book for next year ! The location is great literally on the beach the staff are really all helpfull and aim to please , The only slight niggle is the main dining area is very slippery in the evening around the buffet area near the grills , Don't let this deter you , just being honest . The food is excellent and varied even a smoothie bar at breakfast . The rooms are cleaned to a very high standard daily , the mini bar is restocked every second day within the all inclusive package although we only used the pop and water , even though there is a 4 bottle optic bar as well as an ice bucket in the room with an ice machine on each floor. The hotel shop is adequately stocked sun creams , toiletries, flip flops , souvenirs etc Even on check out at 12 o'clock we were given a pass to use all restaurants and facilities until our taxi arrived at 2pm , All in all a great holiday and we are going back next year ! My husband and I was here for our anniversary. Because we stayed a short time we did not get to fully enjoy the resort. We also did two excursions. Isla mujeres and Tulum Ruins. I would recommend both if your at least staying for a week. Those excursions were all day and required us to relax when we returned to the resort. Rooms were okay. Restaurants were not as good as what we had at Riu Ocho Rios. However, they were good. Expect to have plenty of things to do. Entertainment was great every day. They do have wave runners if you like to do some extra activities. All in all we had an amazing time. I regret not staying an extra day. 😦More
Rui Caribe 2 weeks all inclusive
Rui Carbie Hotel is amazing. Fast check in and luggage was taken by the bell boy up to our room. We had 4 different restaurants within the hotel which the food was amazing, an entertainment team every night, pool foam party every Thursday and beach party every Friday. The Entertainment team were present day and night. Carrying out pool side activities and competitions (which were hilarious) hosting entertainment nights with outside entertainment and also performing most nights in the calypso stage area. The Thompson/TUI team is who me and my partner booked both our trips though- coco bongos VIP & Isla majurees. Coco bongos was worth the experience-had to make own travel arrangements but once we got there about 2100 we sat to the right of the club having free drinks and waiter service, we then got took through the back not having to que outside, sat at our own seating area 1 level up with waiter service the whole night (drinks included) tipping the waiter. Isla majurees was a great morning out we got picked up and got driven to the boat sailed out 1st snorkelling for about 30 minutes then to get some lunch & see the only ice bar in the Caribbean-at the lunch stop there is a mother and baby nurse shark you can get a photo with for 50 pesos which was an amazing 5 minute experience on its own. Then we went to the Isla majurees and hired a golf buggy 600 pesos the guy tried to charge us more but we said no we got quoted 600 and he agreed. I didn't like the golf buggy because there was too many speed bumps on the road, we didn't know where we were going and didn't feel like I seen much in the time we were there. Going back to the strip we went to Carlos n Charlie's which was a nice enough bar however I paid £15 for a medium jack d and Coke in a yarn not knowing the price till after I drank it of course and was quite annoyed about this. Recommendations for dinner out with the hotel hooters, senior frogs & bubba gump. Bubba gump you get a number 2 bus heading away from down town just ask the bus drivers they will be more than happy to help. We took £1000 between 2 for two weeks and this was enough for what we wanted to do. The hotel is all inclusive and everything you need is there but the trips are dear if you are thinking to book a lot of trips I would at least take £1500/£2000. In the room you have optics I was made aware by a friend after the hotel stay we could have tipped the maid to change them to premium spirits if we wanted but we will know for next time. More
