Nice rooms with good view. Food was not exceptional could do with some better desserts. The fruit was not checked enough as often was rotten. All areas were clean. The music and entertainment was outside so was quite noisy. More

For a budget hotel, its very very good.
Firstly I would like to say if you are looking for 5 star luxury with 3 star prices- dont come here. People forget you only get what you pay for. That being said, this is an outstanding hotel for the prices. I am a travel agent for Thomas cook, and I wanted a late getaway with my boyfriend to Tenerife and this one came up and caught my eye. We stayed in a premier room, I wouldnt say i felt premier though to be honest, the best thing about the room was the pool/beach view, the room itself was clean and modern which was good. But who comes on holiday to spend time in their room anyway? The pool area was big, there was always enough sunbeds for everyone, of course you got the odd few who wanted a certain place and would be down the pool in the early hours, but I used to wake up from a hangover at 12 oclock and still get a good space! The pool itself is a nice size. Food- Breakfast was ok. Stay away from the precooked eggs, where the staff do the omelettes ask for fresh friend eggs. I cant say much about breakfast as i only got up for it about 3 times in the week. But it was edible. (Would be handy is breakfast stayed open until half 10 instead of 10, half an hour makes a lot of difference!) The dinners are really good. We ate the dinners 6 out of the 7 nights and there was always something, although i feel there should be more planning into what they serve, on many occasions i couldnt find a 'meal' as such. Many times i just picked as if there was roast chicken, there would be no veg around etc. The staff were ok. the staff loved you if you tipped them every single time or if you have stayed at the hotel before. They make an effort if you make an effort with them. Although they always have a smile on their face and are very helpful. The location of the hotel is actually really good. Its far enough away from the riff raff, but close enough if you want it. We went out every night and there is honestly something for anyone every way you walked. one way is the veronicas strip, the other is the family- entertainment side, and the best way was the hard rock cafe strip, (a little more upmarket) Up there is amazing cocktails, mini golf, bars with so much entertainment, good designer shops, and amazing restaurants. Can not fault the area whatsoever. If you are looking to go to any excursions, book online first, i found if you booked on the street it was about 5 pounds/euros more and booking online you get incentives added on such as a free burger at siam park etc. The women of work opposite the hotel in the car park were nothing but a comical joke from the hotel, i saw one lady and they didnt bother anyone. If you get peckish at lunchtimes, there is a lovely deli supermakret underneath the Columbus hotel (less than 5 min walk away) that serves fresh baguettes with a filling of your choice for 2.50 Euros.More
